An ugly win but ill take it.

On the plus, maybe Gasol and Odom finally decided to show up and play an entire game.

They may not get the refs all together before the game and say "make sure the Lakers get to a game 6" but with 1 minute to go and the NBA MVP reaches in for the GAME winning steal/basket...I'm sure they let it slide. Cmon, EVERYONE outside of LA knows that was reaching in. He CLEARLY reached around Pierce.

Even if he didn't touch the ball, in no way was that a foul. I'm not sure if Kobe got any ball but he definately didn't get any of PP's arm either. So either Kobe got credited with a steal or PP got credited with a turnover. Same result regardless.

The end of the 4th quarter was poorly officiated in favour of the Lakers.. They were getting all the breaks. The obvious one being the "steal" by Kobe which JVG said was a "Ole" foul. They were letting both Gasol and KG be physical throughout the game, yet they called so many ticky tack fouls on KG...

Only ball he got was on Pierce's junk.

People were ripping Laker fans for complaining about calls after game 2 and now those same people are complaining about calls tonight.

I love it.

Thats cool. Ya'll will be bitching when they are playing in Boston. No way the Lakers win 2 in a row. KG played horrible and the missed FT's are inexcusable, but he was taken out of the game early with phantom foul calls.

I'm not spinning anything, I saw the replay during Kobe's interview and he didn't hit Pierce's arm, but who knows, it could've been the angle.

That was some ugly reffing, but Boston had their chances, KG missed the freebies to tie it(he finally missed some clutch FT's! feast time), Pierce got stripped when he could have tied it...

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of a lot of the foul calls though.

These boards suck so hard, it takes forever to submit anything.

Fact of the matter is that the officiating was embarrassingly bad in both games. Worse in game 2 than in game 5, but pathetic in both.

Anybody who can't see this is obviously a fan of one of the two teams.

Kobe Hooked his arm around Paul's body, I think that's usually called a reach in foul... Didn't get the ball. I also thought Kobe's shoulder was out of bounds when he 'saved' it. Paul has some sloppy ball handling down the stretch though and shouldn't have coughed it up like that.

Overall, I'd still have to put this loss on KG. He let Gasol get way too many easy buckets, missed key free throws down the stretch, and missed two wide open tips in the 4th. I hope Perkins is back next game, because Gasol made KG look like a wimp. Also he kept putting up really weak shots down in the post, hoping that he would get the whistle, and while he should have got a few calls, he needs to go for the dunk. Good job on the boards, but he needs to look like the MVP candidate he is.

I'd also say that Rondo didn't play well at all in this game. He hit one jumper, but when he was driving for layups, he wasn't even looking at the basket, just throwing it up looking for contact, and usually getting blocked.

If there's any bright spot it's that Tony Allen played well in the minutes that he got. If he had seen any time in the third quarter, I think there's a chance that we win this game.

Ill agree here. Also, to the poster who said this, we probably will complain if the officiating is lopsided in Boston favor. I reserve my right to. :D

either way, Boston seems like they just try to beat themselves sometimes..uncharacteristic..LA was doing some of it too, but I'm used to seeing Walton, Vujacic, Radmanovic and whoever **** up, so it doesn't surprise me..Boston could have definitely won tonight, they might end up regretting this if LA explodes next game..

-what the **** happened to Derek Fisher's shot? this guy was shooting like 99% in the Utah series..
-Chris Mihm's sequence was one of the funniest in NBA history..I couldn't stop laughing..
-Rondo needs to grow some balls..that passed up layup was just strange..nobody was near him..
-what the **** was up with Pierce's falling and mishandling the ball?..
