I agree to an extent. He's a combo guard after all. However, I think that Mayo won't have the same 2 holes in his game that Crawford does (well, the same 2 massive holes). Crawford is an AWFUL, absolutely atrocious defender whereas Mayo is going to be at least an above average defender. Crawford makes absolutely dreadful decisions with the ball whereas Mayo (from what I've seen) is more controlled and makes better decisions.

I agree with the defense bit. However, from what I've seen his shot selection is just as bad as Crawford's and he doesn't seem to have that Kobe-like "I'M GOING TO DESTROY YOU" personality while playing. Too passive to become a star wing player IMO and if he's not a star wing player after going #3 then IMHO he is a bust

Has to be Kevin Love, not because i don't think he'll become a good player but because he'll always be remembered as being traded for OJ Mayo. People will hold that against him.

Mind you, all these people come from the same country the Lopez' brothers' father came from.

I agree with you on Kevin Love but no way will Brook Lopez be a bust, he's a very highly skilled player with good size for a center.

Does it really matter? The poster still chose all the top non-black players drafted in the first round to be busts. Just them. What I'm asking is if that was a coincidence.

Kevin Love IMO, he's gonna be the biggest bust..

Lopez is such a stiff to me.

Why because you're a University of Spoiled Children fan.....if anything your boy Mayo is easily the most overrated guy in the draft. Too small to be a shooting guard and can't run the point, the next Jamal Crawford guaranteed, you watch.

shaqfan1 wrote:Gallinari is gonna be the bust of the 1st round because:

1. He is a Euro taken in the lottery. That usually doesn't bode well.

2. He is a Euro who is known for scoring and can't play a lick of defense. That never bodes well.

3. He was drafted by the Knicks. Lottery picks such as Channing Frye and Michael Sweetney know what I'm talking about.

4. He was a teammate of Bargnani. Being the teammate and having the exact same playing style of the biggest bust of the last 5 years is not a good sign. Your bust teammate impressed the NBA with the same moves against the same competition that you impressed the NBA with.

I'm sick of hearing GAllinari can't play defense..U never seen him playing man.. I saw him like 20 or 30 tiems during these 3 past years, and all I have to say is that his defense is so underrated! Especially 2 years ago,in his first year in the top italian league he played outstanding defense..he did not get many touches from his older mates, but he was the guy who played the most minutes because he was clearly the best defender.:he can not be the quickest guy,but he is very smart on D,knows his opponents and he is not afraid of contact(that is the main different with his fellow Bargnani):: He is physical, and learning the post game too.. The last year on defense he regressed a little bit cos' he had to be the go-to guy offensively,so he spent lots of energy on that.. Anyway, NY will love him, he is a special player, and a special person, with more media skills than Andrea and Marco(this counts since Nba players are actors before players)

People do not understand Curry's reason for wanting to be a ballerina. He wanted to be able to contort his body to be able to fit in the fridge.

I think Gallinari has a good chance to be a bust IF the Knicks don't get rid of Marbury and especially Randolph . They need to drastically change the Knick locker room environment from last year.

Of course the jury is still out but he isn't a stiff or white so Ajinca is sort of a different Euro than other Euros to come into the NBA.

He's tall and he can shoot. Yep, definitely not like the other Euros that have come in this league. Nothing at all like Dirk, Skita, Bargnani, Radmanovic, Stojakovic, and Gallinari. This guy is different.

Yeah, you're right. They're on two different teams, but they're both on the Italian National Basketball team.

That big @rse Nets logo in your avatar tells me that you are probably a biased contributor on this arguement. I love how you say Brook-Lopez is a "no-risk" guy. Umm, if he totally sucks and doesn't manage to earn a second contract in the league which is totally possible is he really a no-risk guy?

Derrick Rose. He's closer to Jay Williams than Chris Paul.

And so? Gallinari will be a bust because he is Italian? Kwame Brown has been a bust, that means every American player can't play? Really you guys are funny... :-?
