NEW ORLEANS - Chris Paul will be a Hornet for at least four more years after the 2009 season. The agent for the Hornets all-star guard tells ABC26-TV and NewOrleans.com Sports that he will be in New Orleans tomorrow to finalize Paul's new "max" deal with the team.

Paul could have opted for a 3-year deal, but agent Lance Young says Paul will sign a 4 or 5 year deal.

The NBA salary cap could be at least 60 million dollars per team. In a maximum deal, Paul could earn 25 percent of the cap or $15 million for the first year with 10 percent raises to follow.

If Paul signs a five year deal, it would be worth a total of more than $90 million dollars.

Currently, Paul is practicing with Team USA in preparations for the Beijing Olympics.

Wow Utah people are nice folks I don't get how CP3 who is 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better then B Diddy only gets a few replies gosh some of you drunk people.

Easy decision, but nice to see him locked up for 4 or 5 more years, instead of just 3.

NO still have surround him with talent though if they are going to win.

It is because he stayed on the same team, there is nothing much to be said about that compared to someone going to a different team. And Paul isn't that much better than Baron obviously, so calm down :lol:
