Laimbeer played in Europe one season after NCAA and before NBA ...

Gervin played for Rome one season after a 21.2ppg season in NBA.

Dominique Wilkins played in Italy one season after a 18.2ppg season with the Spurs.

Dawkins was still a 15ppg player in NBA 2 years before coming to Italy.

Shaw played for Rome during 1989-1990 season, before a 14ppg, 8apg season in NBA (1991)

Rolando Blackman was still a 18ppg player 2 years before playing for Milan in 1994-1995.

Rick Mahorn played in Italy after a 9ppg, 8 rpg solid NBA season (1991)

And so on.

You forgot geriatric, bankrupt Scottie Pippen. Maybe Marbury will be the next star to go shine in Europe. He's really tearing it up in the NBA.

Again, this wouldn't happen if teams other than Memphis had money under the cap to spend. I still think it's a good thing that's a part of the evolution of the sport.

I never liked the 1 year rule to begin with, it didn't make sense before and it sure as hell doesn't make sense now.

If a team doesn't want to draft a teenager in fear that they won't develop, then don't draft the player. It's as simple as that.

I left out Carl Landry because it would take away from the who guessing part of the game.

My pick is Ben Gordon because if he resigns with the Bulls, he will forever be a 6th man, something a player of his calibre does not want. Any trade opportunity would likely land him in a terrible city/situation. At this point in time, I'm sure Rome, Athens or Madrid look a helluva lot nicer than Memphis or OKC.

Le Mans fills out froncourt with Herbert Hill

Le Mans Sarthe Basket has finalized its center rotation with the signing of center Herbert Hill, who will play in Europe for the first time. Hill (209, 23) spent last season with Philadelphia in the NBA, but did not see any action after suffering a knee injury in October. He underwent two knee surgeries as a result of the injury. Hill shined as a senior at Providence College, leading the Big East Conference in scoring with 19.9 points per game. He was named All-Big East First Team and Big East Most Improved Player that season. Hill joins Pape Badiane and Alain Koffi to form a very strong pivot trio for Le Mans.
