Re: Nenad Krstic to Triumph, Russia
I find it rather useless to post non-english articles on an english-language board without offering a translation and/or summary, but maybe that´s just me ...
Good for him, would be far from certain if he came back on his feet in the NBA anyway with the Nets drafting Big 2 years in a row and him not having a headstart at all with how last season went with the injury and the resulting problems getting into shape at first and a playing rythm later in the year.
So he gets paid good money (i suppose) and most likely wil be starting the year with a lot of trust and quite likely the starting job. I´m not even referring to a level of play or anything, it´s just that you start with a better "reputation" as the star transfer rather than as the "was injured and then didn´t recover" Guy.
So that is a move that makes (would make ?) a lot of sense for him.

I have no problem with translating the text, but there is not a lot of info - it's only the fact that in next few days he will sign the contract with the Triumph, Russia

Hem looked very promising early in his career, then he got injured and the bottom fell out. hopefully he can get back on track and Russia and come back strong to the NBA in a few seasons.

2 years 2nd year is a player option is what I'm hearing... Personally I like this for Nenad and the Nets, Nenad gets a chance to come back at his own pace and heal his injury (thanks to the shorter seasons played overseas), and the Nets will have a year or more to figure out their big man rotation and whether or not there is a spot for Nenad Krstic in it.

Re: Nenad Krstic to Triumph, Russia
From my understanding, while seasons are shorter in number of maximum games (especially for Nenad's team that won't play in Euroleague) that back-to-back games NEVER happen and there are generally only 3 or so games a week, so the length of the season is actually longer than the NBA.

Oh thanks for the insight, as far as practicing goes have you heard anything about the practice schedule over there?

I agree with your first point... or else you can do what some here do and tell everyone Delfino is getting $30 mil and not 8.5

Professional teams normally practice two times a day, a hour and a half in the morning and a hour and a half in the evening, I think.

Good for him. His game is better suited to euroball anyhow.

Re: Nenad Krstic to Triumph, Russia
The only relevant thing to the Raptors here is that so many players are going back to Europe, I really can't see us re-signing AP unless we go real deep in the playoffs. I mean the guy loves playing in Europe and they're dishing out really high contracts now with the weak US dollar..no doubt in my mind he's gonna get a lot more in Europe than the NBA. but hopefully we can go pretty deep this year and hope to retain him.
Spragga - The greatest trick the Raptors ever pulled was convincing the world that Defense doesn't exist.

big loss for the nba, unlike nachbar, delfino, childress who are good rotation players, kristic would be starter in lots of teams, he was bad last year because of the injury.

Re: Nenad Krstic to Triumph, Russia
Well that's assuming Krstic returns to his pre-injury self.
What's interesting though is that Krstic only signed a 2 year deal with an opt out after the first year. If you ask me I don't think he plans on staying in Europe because if he did he surely would have gotten a longer contract.
Also of note is that the Nets and Krstic have basically come to the agreement that if a sign and trade isn't worked out by midnight tonight Krstic will officially sign the contract from Dynamo Moscow.
