No it's not. It's called being human. People screw up, take a game or two off (even though they step out onto the court), and teams lose. One of the losses handed to that 72-10 Bulls team came at the hands of the Miami Heat who had just gutted their roster and literally had 8 players available, half of whom had never played in a Heat uniform until that day. The Bulls excuse? They'd spent too much time on South Beach the night before...

This is a valid point, and one I generally side with in arguments like this. But, I do feel that there IS a point where sheer talent can outweight all other factors even over a long season. I don't feel it's possible for any NBA team to reach that talent level, but I do think a team of the 12/15 GOAT players in their primes WOULD meet that requirement.

Figure, in the case of the 72-10 Bulls when Jordan and Pippen were having off nights the team was forced to rely on Ron Harper or Luc Longley or Toni Kukoc to step up. This team would be able to fall back on Jerry West or Oscar Robertson, or Wilt or Kareem or Hakeem or Bird. Yeah, I think a team THAT stacked would go 82-0 easy in a typical NBA season.

They’d do what I used to do back when I played NBA live… intentionally get down by 50 at halftime just to see if they could come back.

When you put too many all time greats on the same team, there are not enough shots to go around. This is apparent with the old Lakers and their three studs- Elgin Baylor, West, and Wilt.

It is always possible that they could have an off day as well. I doubt they could go undefeated, although it would be pretty close.

This is a joke, right?

Bulls went 72-10. The greatest players of all time don't make up for 10 losses? lol.
