Going forward, I don't really think he is, but he's gotta play way better than he did on Wednesday night. He was getting walked under the basket and he wasn't even putting his hands up. He's a full foot taller than Trae, he's gotta play tall when he's coming at him, just keeping his hands down does zero help.

Hell, Lopez not being in down the stretch may have been the saving grace for Atlanta in game 1. We gave up 5 offensive rebounds with a 7 point lead in the last four minutes. Giving that up on the glass was ballgame.

I think he will be. His physical tools keep keep him from being able to guard the PnR effectively. He's simply too big and too slow.

the offensive boards giving up have more to do with fundamentals than size... one part is Trae attracted too much attention, the other is pure lack of focus on boxing out and chasing the board

Lopez shouldn't play in this series. Not much at least. The Hawks completely destroyed Noel and Taj in the pick-and-roll against the Knicks. You're not even giving yourself a chance against Trae Young by playing a big like Lopez and using drop coverage to defend against the PNR. Trae's floater is just too lethal.

Some interesting on/off per 100 possessions numbers for Milwaukee in this postseason:

Tucker +14.8
Holiday +10.4
Giannis +9.6
Middleton +7.5
Connaughton +6.1
Lopez -0.9
Portis -8.2
Forbes -13.4

Giannis can’t play the 5 for 48 minutes either Lopez or Portis is going to have to touch the floor

Lopez might be the slowest player in the NBA with no lateral movement either. I hope the Bucks keep him in. Hoping we get some better luck with the open threes going in. I don't expect another 48 point game from Trae but I think a 15+ assist game is coming. Hawks win go up 2-0 and win the series in six.

Expecting a convincing win from bucks. They are more talented team and healthy as well. No excuse. This could be their only chance to get the ring.

nate better not do what they did when the bucks went small last game.

for some reason, they were sending double picks for trae but the 2nd pick was giannis' man - so trae was left with giannis guarding him which is exactly what you don't want to do. just send one pick when the bucks go small and not with giannis guy - have capela in the dunkers spot so trae can either do the floater or throw the alley. i couldn't believe nate ran that same play like 5 times in the 4th. i could not understand it.

The Hawks need to withstand the first blow. The Bucks will probably come out with a ton of aggression to start the game. And Atlanta throughout the game, need to take care of the ball. Careless turnovers will lead to Giannis getting dunks. You have to make Milwaukee work in the halfcourt because their decision making is VERY questionable.
