It's still 7-8 games into the season.

Would you devalue a player for a poor 7 game stretch in a season?

If he is still playing like this by the All Star break then there is reason to worry. The same goes for all these guys - including guys like Harrison Barnes playing above their head.

No, but I sure as hell wouldn't trade an all-star--even a disgruntled all-star like Simmons--for Fox while he's playing like this.

lol oh yes because the Sixers have too many offers for Simmons.
Fox would be incredible return, i highly doubt the Kings would entertain this.

Refs are not blowing their whistle and it's really affecting a 23 yr old 6-3 guard. I know that he's just taking 2 less FTs, but his 3ptrate is up, showing me that he's not attacking as much. 17.8% of his shots from 0-3 feet as compared to 23.3 last season.

As much as I like Fox, I wouldn't be completely against it if Simmons came in with his head on straight. Convincing most Kings fans and the organization that it's a good move is another story. Kings would be missing a primary scorer, but it would be a big plus for our defense. If the Kings were willing to offer Fox for Simmons, I think Morey would have already pulled the trigger.

Because those numbers in 7 games are all way below the 56ts%, 20.7 PER, 112 ORTNG, 114 DRtg, and 1.6 BPM over the past 109 Games spanning 2 seasons. Maybe that should hold a little more weight?

Fox starts slow. Plus he is in a shooting slump and the new rules are being applied to him when they shouldn’t because he doesn’t use unnatural motions and this is resulting in him getting hacked a lot with no call.

And lol at the Sixers not wanting Fox, Morey would jump at it if offered.

I also suspect Fox might be nursing an injury, likely to his shoulder.

It really sucks that he's doing this right now while the rest of the team is playing so good.

As Kings fans we've grown accustomed to Fox killing it nightly while the rest of the team struggles. Seems like we can't ever just have everyone playing up to their skill set.

I'm not too concerned right now. Lots of guys seem to be in a shooting slump right now, Harden, Lillard, Booker, Tatum.. I'm betting the new rules/new ball are playing a big part of this. These guys are too good not to figure it out with time.

It's a small sample, but last year gox was running it down the Jazz throat, putting amazing pressure on the jazz.

None of that the other day. Seemed like a totally different player. Possibly injured/I'll?

Lillard, Fox, Tatum, Beal, MPJ, Russell, Luka, have all started the season poorly.

Add Trae, Booker, etc.

NBA will be forced to bring foul-baiting, no-defense back or bring 80 year olds from the 60s out of retirement.

Hmm...by that logic, the numbers over his 270-game career should carry even more weight: 53% TS, 17 PER, 107 ORTG, 113 DRTG, -0.1 BPM--not to mention a .319 3P% and .493 eFG% for his career. Golly, not that spectacular, huh?

Fox is what he is: a good but not great scorer who's never been consistent from outside. I mean, even if I, like you, cherry pick and focus on just his two "good" years, that's still .292 3P%/513 eFG % (2019-20) and .322 3P%/523eFG% (2020-21)--not so good, huh? Fox is also a decent playmaker but gives you little else...especially on defense. That's not going to get it done for a 76er squad that now needs consistent outside shooting, good playmaking and an additional perimeter defensive presence. Hence, my post.

But since you quoted me, you must disagree. Okay, how about you walk me through why you think the 76ers should trade Simmons for Fox?

But you want the 76ers to sell low? That's your sTrAtEgY for them, huh?

Here, since you think Fox for Simmons is such a great deal for the 76ers, I'll ask you the same question I asked the other guy:

Fox is what he is: a good but not great scorer who's never been consistent from outside--53% TS, 17 PER, 107 ORTG, 113 DRTG, -0.1 BPM--not to mention a .319 3P% and .493 eFG% for his career. Fox is not very good honestly, but I think a Simmons for Fox trade would benefit both parties.

That'd be a fair deal for both parties: a straight swap. 76ers would be getting a massive need in a pg who can do what Fox does and pair him with Embiid it'd be even more lethal. Yes you lose some defense, but lets face it Simmons has checked out and he ain't coming back so it's best for both parties to cut their losses and Morey would more than likely take that deal.

Sacramento's defense would improve massively and Simmons would finally have an opportunity to prove to everybody that he can run a team provided his heads screwed on straight. They have great shooters in Hield, Haliburton and Barnes plus a perfect rim runner in Holmes. It'd be a tough sell for Kings fans with Fox, but quite frankly it's a deal that both parties should do.
