Why do people think that the loss of Bosh will have a huge effect on the Raptors?

They were 35-35 with Bosh and 5-7 without him last year.

because the Raptors might as well have been the Toronto Bosh's. Nobody worth naming is on that team

Pacers gotta be on there, but since they're not I went with Raptors.

I would put that down as rubbish starters as opposed to decent bench.

Philly wont be the worst or one of the worst. Last year's record was largely because of eddie jordan trying to run a offensive system that didn't fit the players + the guy didn't pay any attention to defense AT ALL. Getting rid of him alone makes every player better than last year and having turner there will help too.
At best 41 wins
At worst 35 wins

yeah with those 5 wins against new york, new jersey, washington and detroit. The 7 losses were huge blowout losses to any team that wasn't a complete joke.

Still the Raptors have beaten teams they were supposed to beat w/o Bosh. I do this Math, the Raptors w/o Bosh is a below average team, while the Cavs w/o Lebron is just plain horrendous.

Hopefully Realgm is right. I want that #1 pick. I'd rather be a fan of the worst team in the league than a fan of a treadmill team that misses out on the playoffs every year.

I think people mentioning the Pacers just don't know much about them.

They haven't been that far out of the playoffs the last two-three years, and they've definitely improved at PG and Center. PF was a worry, but the way McRoberts and Hansborough have worked out in camp and played in the preseason. those worries have largely been erased.

Dunleavy looks completely recovered. There's no reason he can't be as productive as he was before his injury.

Hibbert worked out with Bill Walton over the summer, lost weight, and looks much quicker.

Collison will do the job at PG--he will be the best PG the Pacers have had since Mark Jackson. His acquisition solved the Pacer's most glaring problem.

Granger is Granger, and has vowed to improve his defense and rebounding.

The bench is average at worst.

If everyone stays reasonably healthy, that ooks like (finally, after the rebuilding) a playoff team to me--definitely not a candidate for the worst team in the league

^ I agree, Pacers don't belong in this discussion. They probably make the playoffs out east.

How can it be that LeBron's team won more games then any of the others, yet losing him is supposed to hurt significantly more than losing other 3 players combined? If LeBron were still in cleveland, we'd be looking at another 60+ win season. Shaq would still be gone, as would Delonte.

How many games do you expect them to win?

If it's less than 50, then your comparisons are bunk.

where do you get 50 from? 15 games worse than 61 is 46. I'm expecting somewhere in the 40-50 range if we stay reasonably healthy. We need to get someone good with our TPE to get to the high end of that.

The average amount of games lost due to a star player leaving in your comparisons is ~11. 11 games worse than 61 is 50. Do you think the Cavs are going to win 50 games?

You're on fire in this thread. It's like you're trying to challenge the world record for how often one person can be wrong.

Actually, I'm right. The Wolves are easily the worst team in the league. If you only have one good player on your entire team, you're probably going to suck really bad unless that player is Lebron/Wade/Kobe.
