This is the series i want to see anyway.

Obviously LA in the playoffs is a completely different story but they have there issues atm. I dont care what Miami record is in the regular season i just love Boston over 7 games and they have handled Miami so far. Looking forward to their next meeting.

Orlando looks like they are coming together.

I think it will ultimately be between 4 teams as obvious as it may be:

LA
SA
Miami
Boston.

I feel like the Lakers are HUGE underdogs this year... but you can't count out Phil & Kobe's last stand.

6 team race. Throw the Mavs & Magic in there also.

IF the playoffs were right now itd be Spurs Heat but luckily for some, they arent.

You know its a great league when there are only 4 teams that have a shot at winning the title (Miami, Boston, LA, SAS)

Why even bother with the other 26 teams, honestly what is Dallas or Orlando playing for, they have no shot

The problem with some of "you people" on here is that you buy into what ever the sports media is saying. The sports media says the Spurs are old and don't stand a chance anymore, and a you have 8/10 people blindly believing it. The media says the Lakers are no longer at the top of the heap, and the same thing happens. It's ridiculous.

I knew the Spurs would have a chance at the championship before the season started. I didn't believe all the nonsense that the media spews. Just as I don't believe the nonsense that they spewing right now about the Lakers. The Lakers are champs. They don't have to prove anything. When the Spurs were at their peak in the mid-2000's they did the same thing. They got off to a slow start and finally came around after the All-Star break. It tends to happen with championship teams. You still have to have LA at #1.

Come on Lakers #1. They are really struggling right now. They don't look anywhere near championship ready. That being said its January and I would not count them out.

Wow, really? Just log out. The BACK-TO-BACK DEFENDING CHAMPIONS are not underdogs, nor are they ever, unless their MVP got traded and half their team is injured.

i absolutely believe the Celts will make it to the finals... even though Miami is starting to concern me :-?

It's too early to get a feel for the Magic, but I don't think they'll be ready this year.

Really? Because they've got the best record versus +.500 teams and have beaten OKC (twice), Utah (in SLC), Denver (twice), Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas (without Dirk), and the Lakers by 15 points. Think before you post.

This. Seriously, the Spurs dominated a healthy Mavericks team who have only added Chandler while Duncan and Parker were injured and Ginobili's nose was broken.
