The Suns don't even need him to be great, if he was even average and gave a crap, most of us wouldn't mind seeing VC stick around for the Suns.

It is a comment in general... he had all the talent to be a fixture on the all NBA teams, but never had it in him to be that type of player. All star calibur player... yes...

I look at him and Grant Hill and see a remarkable amount of difference in their approach to the game. Hill changed his jumpshot later on in his career because he wanted to improve. It is a shame that Hill was robbed of his all NBA level abilities when he played in the playoff series in Detroit hurt.

If you were to put Hill's desire into Carter physical abilities you would have a bad bad mofo...

People here discussing bosh being bad, you csnt blame the guy for being a third option, he's got Lebron and wade taking the majority of the shots

We all know what he's capable of being a first option, becoming a third option doesn't make him any less of an all star PF

Theres at least 5 reasons to start on why the Suns are losing and Carter isn't even in the top 5....

1. Sarver
2. Bad coaching
3. Bad offensive system
4. No size
5. Nash not the same player

But they want to blame Vince ?

Agree until 5, how exactly is Nash not the same player?

Well I should have elaborated more, I meant in a sense he doesn't have a true P&R guy with him like he did Amar'e. Suns run more pick and pop, it's easier to defend.

1. Ok, Sarver blows, we all know that

2. I'll take Gentry over 80% of the other coaches in the league

3. Bad OFFENSIVE system? I could understand using the same old homage that we are a terrible defensive team, but to say we are terrible on offense?

4. Compared to the Lakers, yes, but we have much more size now than many other teams, we just lack a viable PF because of your #1 point specifically.

5. Nash is putting up BETTER numbers than some of his MVP years, what are you smoking?

I think it was mostly to draw comparison to Vince's 6-22 shooting. As in it's not the first time someone had an epic fail shooting wise. And Bosh had it easier too, all a bunch of mid-range Js with less defense on him.

C'mon dude. Sure, Gortat isn't Amar'e, but he still is a great pick'n'roll player.

VC has disappointed every team he has ever played for.

Can this guy please not get elected into the hall of fame.

Oh c'mon, were you born after 2008? You're pushing selective memory too far.

Man if Suns fans were expecting Carter to take over games after losing Amare and get better then shame on you. The guy is a shell of his former self. He is nothing more then a role player at this point in his career.

1. Yes

2. Giving the ball to Steve Nash is never a bad offensive system.

3. Bad coaching--I can go with this to some extent. Gentry's man crush on Grant Hill is perplexing, Jared Dudley should be receiving significantly more minutes than Hill in this offense. That, and Hakim Warrick just flat out shouldn't be playing...There's a reason he's never been on a good team. Good teams don't play Hakim Warrick. I personally believe the Suns should be playing 4-out wayyy more on offense...But that's another rant all together.

4. The Suns have size--Robin Lopez is 7ft, Gortat is a big body, Channing Frye has actually expanded his game significantly and uses his size well. The Suns don't have the size that Boston or LA has, but very few teams do...The problem is, Robin Lopez is utterly useless right now, and plays like a glued-to-the-floor midget who also happens to be extremely stupid looking.

5. This is also true to some extent--Nash has been ailing more this season, and isn't shooting as aggressively as in years past. The true mark of Nash's health can often times be measured by his shot attempts.
