The title of your thread : MVP Derrick Rose, I am disappoint. indicates you don't think he deserves to be MVP. Maybe you should have worded it differently?

Derrick is definitely a top 5 player this season. Its not a static condition, however. So he may not be atm.

This is the dumbest thread I've read in awhile. OP, you disappoint us all.

First, anyone obsessing about why Rose SHOULDN'T be MVP is just as bad as people who are obsessing about how he SHOULD be MVP. Chill the F out. It's just an award and has no effect on anything. Your favorite player is not going to play any better or worse for having received or not received a trophy in the second round.

Second, ease off the Rose hate. It's easy to wait for the guy to have an off game to start taking dumps on him.

Rose had a bad game - his ankle obviously affected his play. He simply was not himself yesterday.

I would say that this criticism is valid because when Rose (or any elite level player) has a great game then it goes overboard in the other direction. This is the playoffs, which is what everyone has been waiting for. Each game means something, compared to the regular season.

This sort of criticism is commonplace for the other elite players ie Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Dwight. I mean how much criticism has Dwight endured for not having a post game. Lebron not having the heart to close out games. Kobe for shooting too much. Wade for not carrying a scrub team to the playoffs.

Rose and his fans might as well get use to it when every game he plays like crap.....
I'm so tired of the typical......

I am extremely disturbed by this post.

He had two great games to start the series (he even shot efficiently despite the bricked 3s, and then there was his near-perfect free throw shooting), but his last two games have been terrible. Yeah he hit the game-winner in Game 3, but if he didn't go 3-17 in the first 47 minutes they wouldn't have been in that position anyway.

He'll have a great Game 5, though, and close out the series. But the Bulls definitely weren't tested by the Pacers, or should I say they barely passed the test despite it being graded on a very generous curve. We were reminded that Rose is fearless, but we've also seen him play wildly different at home and on the road.

Haters will just wait in the shadows for the most opportune time to hate. kinda pathetic really. i mean get a life, or an e-life. Derrick never promised us a Rose Garden. We thank him wholeheartedly to wherever he's gonna take our team.

Oh yeah, my bad, it's not worded very well. I was disappointed in his play, not contesting the MVP he's gonna win.

Exactly. They're both way too extreme; it's either we get super homer Bulls fans who are piss annoying or super Rose haters (whatever their reason) who are just as annoying. There are only a few posts on the thread which were clearly neutral or middle-ground with no agenda against Rose.

I believe Rose was 3-6 before spraining his ankle and 3-16 afterwards. It's pretty clear it affected his performance yesterday and thus he deserves some slack for game 4.

Okay, the ankle excuse for yesterday's game. Sure, what ever. What's the excuse for the other 3 low fg% games? He hasn't had ONE good game all series.

Do you expect people to take you seriously with statements like these?

The Chicago offense made no sense yesterday. You've got Deng and Boozer, both of whom can do things, but their only move was for Rose to do it alone or pass the ball around and give it to Kyle Korver for a jump shot. That is not going to amount to anything in the playoffs except an early out.

Quite frankly, and I haven't watched the Bulls that much, but from their performance in this series I have no idea how they won the East. Indiana are not good. Both Boston and Miami (or half the teams out West) would have been much more impressive against them.

So congrats to these guys for accomplishing what they did, but they have a long way to go.

Take into account that he is getting triple, sometimes quadruple teamed when he has the ball. And the fact that he is being face guarded for 94 feet, and trapped at the half court line, even when he doesn't have the ball in his hands. And the face that he is getting pounded, elbowed, and grabbed by all the Pacers. Nobody else in the playoffs has faced nearly this much defensive attention.

Two thirds of regular season games, the opponents played soft defensively. The Bulls won the vast majority of those games. One third of regular season games, the opponents played hard. Those games were a struggle and if the Bulls won, it was because Rose saved the day.

You guys think Deng and Boozer and Noah are dangerous weapons and that Rose has all kinds of options. Frank Vogel emphatically disagrees. Vogel is daring any Bull but Rose to attack 1v1 with success. Vogel is doing well with that bet.

I especially like how Derrick Rose keeps shooting threes despite his glaring inability to make them. Either he's mentally weaker than I thought and is afraid of getting hit by Jeff Foster or he's rivaling Westbrook in the stupidity department.
