If JET had lebron's body he would have been the better player. Bball IQ/mental toughness and physical talent are two entirely different things buddy.

Well said by Kenny - he's right

People who overreact are wrong. Still a lot of oppurtunity for LBJ, and it's not like he hasn't been clutch in the past multiple times... one example being his 48 pt game, 29/30 last pts in the 2007 Detroit series.

Great job by Shaqie overlooking Bynum's block and offensive putback in traffic in OT in that Utah game, too. Typical not looking to give credit where it's due too much from this guy.

Does this mean coaches should not give any advice to players better than then?

If you agree with MavfanAus, then yes.

Although the logical implications of MavfanAus' statement go much further. It basically means you can't criticize or give advice to anyone unless you do the exact same job as them, but better.

For example - think Obama/Bush is/was a bad President? Well, they're a better President than you've ever been, so you're in no position to criticize.

At any rate, once MavsfanAus takes a couple courses in logic and learns why Appeal to Authority is a logical fallacy he/she will understand why others are taking issue with his/her post.

Kenny also said Kobe is a chucker. He didn't said the word, but this is what he showed. Kobe takes bad shots and wasn't clutch , but everybody says he was a killer that night. So this is the hype.

LeBron missed his 2 FTs that could have won the game; in fact all he had to do was just make 1 but he blew it by missing 2 even after Wade saved the ball to give LeBron another chance to redeem his earlier miss and they LOST.

One pulled through, the other one choked.

Exactly the point. This show is not an analytical show, it's a comedy show. Thats why Barkley is there, and that is why Shaq joined the cast.

Well yes we all know that, but Barkley still offers an interesting opinion that's sometimes actually right. When they ask Shaq gets serious and they ask him a question he responds in a monotone "Kobe won the game", as if that alone proves who made the better decisions.
Actually Shaq was misunderstood and he clarified later. What he was trying to say is that people criticize when you loose and don't criticize nearly as much when you win. He was basically saying that Kobe played equally as poorly, but he won the game, so people aren't going to say anything about it.

Similarly, he was saying that if the Heat had won the game, their wouldn't be much discussion, though because of Lebron's more recent not so good 4th quarters (finals), there might still be discussion if they win in-spite of him.

The discussion is in the link, look for #3 of Top 5 of Inside the NBA. Kenny talks too much in comparison to the others, but it's okay, he makes good points as well as the rest.

After thumbing through this thread, I think it's pretty clear that MavfanAus moved to Australia after Kenny Smith took his lunch on the basketball court. I don't think I've ever seen another poster with so much distaste for Smith. lol

As for what Kenny said, I tend to agree. Great players must have a short memory when it comes to taking big shots. The instant a player begins to doubt himself in clutch situations he becomes a permanent liability which is how James has been looking recently.

As far as James "responding", a truly great player like Bryant would let his play do the talking and respond on the court. Being an attention whore and dropping tweets during "Inside the NBA" is NOT a worthy response IMO. Notice how Bryant went out, dropped 48 and THEN responded to the "7th best player" criticisms. James still doesn't get it.

This is (Please Use More Appropriate Word), just because he wasn't as good as Lebron doesn't mean he can't give him advice...

Going by that logic Michael Jordan would be the best coach on the planet, but in fact he would probably be a terrible one...

Nice!
