Joel Freeland also put up 25 against both the Gasols and Ibaka. Does that mean I think he will be ROY? No. Delusional Raptor fans the only thing this organization is good for is so I can watch my favorite teams when they come to town.

I'm a Charlotte fan and I voted for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist; this is no homerism as I think he will have the most impact as a rookie.

Davis might need a little time to adjust with his frame, aggressive defense and limited post moves.

Charlotte will not win many games this year but Gilchrist will stuff stat sheets and show people exactly how good he is, I am not claiming he will have a better career than Davis but I believe him to be more NBA ready and have more of an impact both offensively and defensively (in his rookie year)

The ESPN NBA Rookie Poll asked who is the best defender and Gilchrist got 28.6 percent of the vote compared to 14.3 percent to Davis.The rookies couldn't vote for themselves or college or pro teammates.

I optimistically expect 15/7/3/1/1 and some credibility for Charlotte.

Wow - those predictions are OUT there! Are people realizing that this past years rookie crop had ONE player who averaged more that 12.8 pts pre game, and NO one who averaged 7.8 rebs or better?

I'm gonna go with Thomas Robinson because out of the top 5 he is the best fit for his team. Demarcus Cousins is going to have a near all-star year at center and he will be on every teams scouting report. This will open up a lot of opportunities for Thomas Robinson who is probably the most NBA ready player in the draft. I think Robinson will basically be a more athletic version of David West. Cousins and Robinson will probably be the most dominant low post combination in the West.

Anthony Davis will have a better career, MKG also may have a better career, but they are both on horrible teams and will struggle to score. I can't think of a single rookie of the year who won it for being a great defender.

Did you watch SL? Robinson couldn't even consistently outplay against random roster fillers. He will struggle during his first season.

Robinson has an NBA ready body but that's about it. I like him but I'm going to give him a few years before he becomes noteworthy.
