And on the Wade play, no malicious intent, just an accident, no suspension.

1. The Hibbert play is no relevant to Wade's.
2. It wasn't an accident. He left the floor to whack Stephenson. It was intentional.
3. He won't get suspended because this league is a joke when it comes to these things.

At least 1 game or NBA has a huge credibility issue (not that Stern cares, but Silver might).

Should he get suspended? Absolutely, if for no other reason he has a huge history of going out of his way to try and hurt players. He is a dirty player and SHOULD be held accountable for it.

How many games? For this, just one. Again, last years play against Collison he probably should have been suspended for a few games.

Overall, I am tired of it. Its BS that the NBA lets him do this. I don't wish injuries upon anyone until I see them trying to hurt someone, then I want to take them out harder. I said in the game thread, I don't care that we are playing the Heat, I want LeBron to be 100% healthy. If we lose because of that, I am okay with it. Wade on the other hand, I would love to see him take some cheap shot that injures him.

Now, I'm sure I will get labeled as a POS for saying that, but:

This is absolutely ridiculous. If the NBA is going to let him play like this, I'm all out for trying to take out his knees. I am tired of it. Sooner or later, he is really going to hurt someone.

Why did Wade feel the need to jump anyway? He didn't even jump to the side he jumped straight at the guy, since when he started his leaping motion Stephenson was still in front of him. And even if he was somehow trying to jump to avoid Stephenson, then why would he flare his elbow out towards him?

I think that's gotta be considered intentional.

The pattern of Wade reacting quite rashly to misfortune is rather disturbing.

In the game they showed it from the baseline angle, and it's a lot clearer than that .gif that Wade was just trying to get around him. Is this being talked about nationally at all?

That's the only way this kind of thing leads to a suspension is if ESPN make it into a big deal.

i'm getting so tired of wade, and i'm not a fan of either team. this guy has gotten away with stupid stuff like this for years. this reminds me of that elbow by metta against harden, except it gets less publicity.

If stepheson had sold it, and stayed on the ground for ~5 minutes (like many other NBA players would), we're talking about a suspension for at LEAST 5+ games. The result that goes with the dirty play has more to do than the dirtiness/intent itself, which I find so stupid. Again, getting reaaaaaaaaaaally tired of this guy and the crap he pulls. Hope they suspend him, I know they won't though.

Did you read the comments from youtube? They are priceless, here they are:

Becca L Melter-"the more skill he loses the dirtier he gets, faking another knee injury to excuse his rap[idly declining skills.wade is a joke now.the nba needs to stop protecting this guy,or someones going to get hurt even worse than rondo did.wade is a self entitled spoiled brat, when he cant beat you off the dribble,he just kicks you in the nuts.he needs a beatdown"

Ultra-homer much?

So obviously intentional. If JR got 1 game for his, Wade should get two. At least JR made a basketball move, Wade made a WWE move.

i don't feel as though JR should have been suspended either, the was not an intentional move either however.

How can you say that?

Lance might wake up tomorrow with a headache and be diagnosed with a concussion, forcing him to miss game 3 at the expense of a cheap shot.

This is getting beyond ridiculous. The fact that Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr said it was inadvertent and accidental is even worse.

Anyone else remember how he gave Kobe a broken nose and concussion during an all-star game. What is wrong with this guy?

LOL at anyone claiming that this wasn't intentional. Out of all the space on the court Wade goes right at Stevenson? And then jumps to make contact with his head with his elbow? If that isn't intentional it's one huge ass coincidence.

Don't get your hopes up Indy fans, Wade isn't getting suspended.

This type of stuff makes me so mad when considering how Stern would stick to the book so rigidly on some things (Suns/Spurs 07) and not on others when the incidents are even worse.

The genius of LeBron's move to Miami is becoming clearer by the day.

He's basically pulled the "bring an ugly friend so you're the hot one" trick with Wade.

The ultra paranoia surrounding concussions these days could potentially force the league's hand here.
