What about Hawes or Turner or Young screams "foundation piece" to you? I'll grant you Holiday, but after the horrible Bynum trade the Sixers needed to do something to get back on track, they had Jrue and nothing else. And Jrue was starting his 2nd contract. So you had 1/5 of the cap approximately at that time tied up in one guy, and then you had a bunch of bench pieces with no clear future path to a championship. Unless you traded Jrue, got some assets, sucked horribly the next year, and drafted a potential superstar. Check... and check. Anyway, the point is the Sixers are in a much better spot than they were last year before the draft and it isn't debatable.
