Could anything ever top that comment?

According to the guy below you in this thread it was at 600ish, so don't knno how many are new. But Carl2680 is at 699 for the Kidd to the Bucks story.

I love Knicks' fans and I love their confidence but sometimes that confidence borders on the irrational and i must admit I love that too.

There was a thread once on the Knicks board I recall, I can't remember the year, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the glorious D'Antoni years. The Knicks fans were really confident that year that their team would be one of the top teams in the league. I remember looking at that roster with an unbiased eye and wondering what wtf they were thinking, but they were not to be discouraged.

So they started this thread predicting the outcome of the first ten games or so. Most of the fans were predicting 8-2, 9-1 and some even 10-0 in the Knicks favor. I must mention a few fans actually questioned whether this kind of thread was a good idea.

After the Knicks lost the first game, I don't think most fans were too concerned, just joking around really. But the Knicks ended up losing like every single one of the games and the fan meltdown that ensued was **** classic. It was literally like that cartoon of the dog whose face melted in the fire played out in slow motion over days. The only bummer was someone locked the thread before the losing streak ended so we couldn't witness the full extent of human carnage and suffering. Funny **** though.

The thread calling Marshon Brooks Marathon Brooks for the first time. Funniest part were the posts on the first few pages that completely ignored the OP calling him Marathon

There was this thread on the Knicks board of a mod venting about their most recent loss to the Raptors. Then another mod locked it up.

Great to see some other posters remember the Ha Picture Thread, to me this was easily the most hilarious ever. Didn't it get moved from the Blazers to the Bucks board when he got traded? Not to mention it was linked on Ha's Wikipedia page for a while

I clicked on a link to it and nothing appeared. Sad to say it's lost to history

I looked up the incident and it was ha hitting some dude with a wooden stick or something. My god what a treasure I missed.

Yea that was great. There were a whole string of "swag" threads back in the day that were pretty amusing.

"The NBA look alike thread" was great too. There was an amusing racial undertone to it that all came to a head when some guy posted AK47 next to a box of crackers and Yao Ming next to the Wu Tang clan. Should have been re-named "The All Black People Look Alike Thread".

Best was when that one guy who loved OJ Mayo so much (lilojmayo? ojmayofan? something like that) finally broke down and posted a massive anti-OJ-Mayo thread where he renounced his support, said Mayo was a total scrub and worthless, etc. I mean this guy was THE OJ Mayo fan, and it finally broke his mind.

Almost forgot, the string of threads by that poster OneAnswer years ago. The 24 parody, Antoine Walker stuff, the Marbury video, etc.... Pretty funny stuff. His threads started getting locked right away after a while.
