Still, there's only a small minority of players echoing that sentiment, I could only find Paul Pierce and Nurkic.

obviously there is going to be way more backlash from fans.

you can bet your life though there are more players who share Nurkic and Pierce's thoughts though and just don't to make them public.

I find it funny thou

There probably are more players like Nurkic and Pierce out there, but in general I found players seem more understanding of KD's decision compared to fans. And the one big name who spoke out in Wade said that relationships matter.

Bogut, I legitimately feel sorry for since I liked him.

I have 94M reasons not to feel bad for Barnes either ... son has his ring and is getting paid. Most people can't say they have either.

According to a person who saw the text messages, Curry told Durant in a text message that he could care less about who is the face of the franchise, who gets the most recognition or who sells the most shoes (Curry is with Under Armor, Durant with Nike). The two-time NBA MVP also told Durant that if Durant won the MVP award again he would be in the front row of the press conference clapping for him. In closing, Curry’s message to Durant was that all he truly cared about was winning championships and he’d like to do that as his teammate.

Why wouldn't Curry want to play with Durant :-? . You'd think someone with that attitude would be applauded, but apparently not.

They just replaced Harrison Barnes with Kevin Durant. And lost a championship by a few missed shots. Unless you think Durant is going to shoot 5-32 over 3 consecutive playoff games—as Barnes did—I think the chances of your scenario are low. Durant has shot below .300 in only 6 of 91 career playoff games. Also very unlikely you're ever going to see Steph Curry have as bad a Finals again, in part due to the presence of Durant allowing for a lot more rest over the season (including taking whole games off while still giving the team a chance to win).

Well first off that story sounds like a crock of crap or some Broussard "sauces" to be honest. Does Durant going to GS kind of make Steph look a little silly as someone who is supposed to be this god? Yes a little for sure but it's not all really Curry's fault. That being said, anyone would be crazy not to welcome someone like Durant to their team. I hate Curry with a passion, but I don't blame him one bit for accepting Durant... and even if Curry didn't love the move, he is going to have to accept it or else become part of the biggest franchise failures ever if he let it ruin there team going forward. So in other words, he is going to embrace it.

Warriors are great for basketball. First, ratings will be high, everyone will be watching and every road game will be like a playoff game. But much, much more important than that, teams will emulate them - I grew up on Showtime Lakers, and let me tell you, this pound the rock while four people stand around is an abomination. The game is meant to flow, with pace, players moving without the ball, and passing to the open man. So we will see more flow, more grace, more joy - basketball as it was meant to be.

Wait? What? How is that pathetic? So someone being unselfish and saying they would actually support their teammate instead of competing against them is considered pathetic?

The hate is ridiculous. People blame Curry for being egotistical and entitled, and then when he says something completely selfless people call him desperate and insinuate hes weak. Everything Curry said here is just consistent with the impression every teammate he has played with has had of him.

Like I said in the last thread:

Its crazy how many ways the Warriors were hated on these last few years. Last year we were overrated and only won the chip because we were lucky, people said players like Draymond and Klay were only "system" players and weren't as good as people said. Then, with the same exact team and rotation, we set the regular season record, and picked up from where we left off but people still couldn't give us credit for last years postseason. Then we go down against OKC, we are overrated again. Then we come back and beat them, and OKC is labeled chokers instead of us being credited for our perseverance. Then we lose against the Cavs and we are again overrated and last year was a fluke, and this proves Curry didn't deserve the MVP and our squad is garbage. Then we get Durant, and he is labeled soft because he is joining one of the greatest teams ever.

If gives me a headache trying to keep up with all the pivots.

People talk all this crap about our players, but I am sure they would love to have the squad we have in the position we are because of our management. These guys are high character guys who are easy to cheer for. And from a fan who has watched our squad be horrible for so many years, missing the playoffs for 13 years at one point, but all the while seeing amazing support from our fans, I feel we have all earned this. So hate the move if you want, but don't try to make up some sort of absurd character portrayals just because you are bitter.

How are teams going to emulate them without the talent? Live by the 3 die by the 3. That's not fun basketball to watch either.

After your whole organization acted throughout this past season, I find this statement maybe slightly biased.

Quick note to the 'Warriors have been unfairly hated' crap echoed a bit in here.

We loved you guys as underdogs but you let success get to your head and become the most cocky, hypocritical team in the league.

It's all justified.

Ok let's get specific here. Lacob talked out his ass to some venture capitalists and business reporters. But tell me one employee, besides Mark Jackson, that hated him as a boss. Draymond last year, when drunk, said the Cavs sucked while trying to freestyle to an E-40 song. Draymond also got too many t's, and played a little too reckless. Klay also made one comment about Lebrons feelings because Lebron was trying to instigate with Draymond. And Bogut was never one to hold his tongue, even about his own teammates.

Ok, what else? Did Kerr do something? Myers? West? What did Curry say disrespectful about any other players or teams, even after WB laughed at him and others said he was just a shooter?

What other things did our organization do this past season to state we were disrespectful or inappropriate? Curry spending too much time signing for fans of other teams? Draymond giving too much money to his alma mater? Did any of them pop up in the news off the court or in gossip pages, or did any of them come into the season out of shape or not respecting the game?

Please tell me specifically how our organization "acted" this past season.

Cocky? Give me some quotes where the Dubs were cocky to the media or disrespectful to other players. Klay and the "feelings" comments, ok. Did he say anything else?

And hypocritical? In what specific ways were they hypocritical?

It's like if I got condemned to death by a firing squad, if 5 people shoot and manage to hit me while 7 didn't pull the trigger, the fact of the matter is is that 5/12 shot me.

Its more like they threw 5 pebbles and you are acting like you are dying. People talk all this crap that the league is too buddy and should be more competitive and cutthroat, and then when someone talks trash, they are this horrible disrespectful organization and deserve all manners of bad luck upon them.

Warriors are cocky these days. One of the reason they're a huge turn me off for me. As the OP stated, they were a lot more likable when they were humble. That said, I wish my team was as good as yours.

Last era was all about loyalty - Kobe, Dirk, Duncan/Manu/TP, Pierce all ultimately sticking with their teams through their primes, even through down years.

If Lebron doesn't set the FA trend, I don't think this ever happens. KD doesn't have the audacity to make this move if the first Big 3 never happens.

Don't get too attached to any players, prepare for more of this the next decade.

For the record, I love GSW and I love Durant so I couldn't be happier..

To be fair, Kobe and Duncan already had a great team and great coach when they were young.

Kobe had Shaq and Phil Jackson, they won multiple championships when he was young. Duncan had Robinson and Popovich with a great cast. They didnt have to endure what Lebron or in a smaller scale Durant experienced. Lebron didnt have the luxury of a great coach and Great teammates. Well, Durant had good teammates, but their front office failed to retain Harden. Lebron and Durant were in extreme amount of pressure to win a ship in their late 20's. Kobe and Duncan already won championships earlier in their careers.
