U're somewhat right, but La Liga has 3 teams, maybe the Spurs have an outside shot.

Will be more like the German Bundesliga (I know what I´m talking about  )

Could be posturing. Likely is. If Wade was serious I would imagine that he'd have done something already when more teams had cap space. I'm sure if he was serious serious any number of teams would have backed the meat wagon up to sign him. Now? The teams left with cap aren't exactly looking like world beaters even with him added to their team and/or aren't exactly situated in locale that one would think would fit. The only team that may have made even remote sense for Wade from the recent talked about teams may be the Knicks (an older team that is geared for now, located in a city that would seem to fit, who has his buddy Carmelo and who project to have a max slot next summer to add another "super friend"). And one would think that if Wade was willing to go to NY he'd have let Carmelo know who then would have relayed it to Phil Jackson. Jackson, who is collecting a lot of similar type players surely would have then tried to maneuver space to add Wade if Wade was serious. He didn't. I think ultimately he returns to Miami...maybe on a 1+1.

Can't see Wade taking the Shane Battier deal. What's the best the Cavs can offer? 3 years and $9 million. It would be a big F U to Riley though. Maybe that's where things are at.

Everyone laughed it off as a hoax just two years ago, when it was reported that Gilbert was on a jet to Miami to meet with Lebron. I do believe that Wade will be a Cav in a couple of days. Lebron will sign a vet min contract, Cavs dump a couple of salaries (like Sash Kaun, D. Jones) and Wade signs a 3 yr. 50 mill contract....starting at 16 mill. They have approximately that much cap space if Lebron takes vet min. Then next year Lebron signs for the max.

As a Cavs fan, not sure I want to commit to Wade for 3 years, but if Lebron is willing to do a vet min. to get him on, its really not costing them anything, so I would be all for it. Wade has proven he still is a clutch player.

IF this was possible you take it and run if you're the Cavs.

Sorry but Wade is not a factor at this point. He is a shadow of his former self, and not a good fit with the Cavs. Just look up his numbers and efficiency in the last two years, including the playoffs. I don't think a signing like this would change anything in terms of where the Cavs are. I guess he could be a decent bench player for them, playing around 25 minutes per game, but he is not a real factor at this point. I mean, just look at the numbers. He will have the occasional big game, but he is done as an elite playoff performer.

You're not. You would be if you said this in 2010 or 2011, but it isn't 2010 or 2011, it's 2016.

Seriously if LeBron is in the same plane with Dan Gilbert then something must going on. LeBron still hates him, why would he spend free time with him :D

and I still think it's fake :D

They wouldn't be swapping JR Smith for Wade. Gilbert doesn't care about paying the luxury tax. They will sign Wade and JR and Lebron will take a big pay cut (even vet minimum). Lebron wants his bud with him and he will take a pay cut to do it. Wade signs a 3 yr. 50 mill contract. And Wade is 100 times more clutch (in 2016) than Kevin Durant !!! Did you not watch Durant CHOKE away the Golden State Series, and Wade personally keep Heat in the Toronto series?

Sign Wade and JR then trade Shump for a bag of pretzels and some "veteran locker room presence".

If we could somehow keep the roster intact and then add Wade....yikes.

But even if we don't, I like our match up with Golden State. Their defense is going to suffer big time IMO.

People keep saying that the Warriors were a minute away from a championship - but that's not true anymore. Using Warrior fans own logic, the loss of Bogut was big. From the game he got injured, the Warriors lost the series 3-0 - two of those in their building, and two of them were blow outs. One of those three Draymond missed, but it's still worth noting that when Golden State lost it's toughness and depth, they got beat down 3-0.

So now enter Durant - eliminate Bogut and depth...take away Barnes who is probably a better defender than Durant - or at least more willing to expend his energy on the defensive end of the floor. What you get is Durant joining a team that was not one minute away from a championship - but a team that was essentially swept 3-0, because you're taking away some of the key pieces that had the Warriors up 3-1 in the series to begin with.

It's very, very likely that the Cavs improve because LeBron/Love/Irving still haven't played together for that long - there's also improvement from the experience of winning a championship. Meanwhile the Warriors, even if this improves their team (which would be hard to do), will take a while to gel.

For the people saying they would have to lose JR Smith, they could instead trade Shumpert.

Someone would take him in e heartbeat along with a 2nd rounder on that contract. VERY reasonable under the new cap.

Wade is a good player in a vacuum but JR's shooting is pretty necessary. Of course JRs inconsistency is still there so Wade would be a big add no matter what
