Why in the HELL is Winslow on the list but not Johnson? You could have at least put the high lotto picks in the poll.

I mean WTF? Johnson had a better season in fewer mgp as well.

Good grief.

Are you saying a 20 year old won't improve?

He doesn't even have to improve to win this thread. If he just repeats his rookie year he may still end up having the best sophomore year of all those players.

Certainly won't be better than KAT or guys like Porzingis but, look out for Terry Rozier.

I'm assuming (hoping) everyone who didn't say Towns was just excluding him because he's the obvious pick. Saying Russell or Porzingis will be better than him next year is an outrageous statement. Towns put up all star numbers as a rookie. It won't be remotely close.

KAT aside, I got my money on Devin Booker. Got a feeling he is going to explode next year and avg 20+. I see alot of those players improving their sophomore year though.

Cool post on language acquisition. I don't think it has that much to do with NBA improvement or performance. There are countless examples of NBA guys who improved their shooting a lot. Jason Kidd. Many others.

Mechanical tweaks for shooting, better defensive stances, improving handles, getting physically stronger .... it's long been known that guys can improve a ton (typically) from when they first get into the league and all the way through about age 25.

Looking forward to our sophmores, Lyles and Exum (he missed every game of his 2nd year, so technically he's a sophmore).

Like others have mentioned, it will be interesting to see how good Town and Wolves get.

I really also like this draft class and I think it will go down as the most solid draft class of perhaps all time. Not everyone has to be a star for a draft class to be great, it just has to produce good NBA players and that draft class is absolutely LOADED.

Its crazy when you look at other classes and see perhaps 3 or 4 stand outs when damn near the entire top 10 plus about 6-7 others could have 10+year NBA careers.

so solid from top to bottom.

Don't forget about Minnesota's other sophomore big. Nemanja Bjelica looks like a completely different player from last year. He stayed in Minnesota for the offseason, improved his conditioning and his confidence on the court is up as a result. He's been the first player off the bench throughout preseason, and I'd expect that to continue during the year.

Is Myles Turner's environment better than Porzingis'? Or is Turner better NOW than him?

One plays for a 45 win team and the other for a 32 win team. Myles is definitely in a better environment.

Also its one game into the season. Calm down bro.

Myles Turner is very strong for a 20 year old. The physicality of the NBA doesn't seem to bother him as much as other young bigs.

It's too early, I agree. But the discussion will be interesting during the season.

My hypothesis: Porzingis' upside is higher, but Turner is a little better in the game now. For example, Turner can play in the post right now better than Porzingis.
