Of course it is a serious argument. Players come down on the side of their foot all the time. It happens. There was absolutely nothing dirty about Horford's play and Horford has never been known as a dirty player. If anything, he and Olynyk have been criticized for being too soft. The sprain could have happened in rebounding action or in a dozen other ways.
But if this kind of silly argument makes losing feel better, go right ahead.
Is there a rule against invading the space a jump shooter needs to safely land? Yes. Does that rule exist to protect the health of the shooter? Yes. Did Horford break the rule? Yes.
Does that, by itself, mean Horford is a dirty player? No. But Horford is at fault.
