They are the new Atlanta in the EC: dangerous but not a favorite to reach the EC finals.

I would agree with this but I'm not sure Miami is as consistent as Atlanta was. Those Hawks teams were going to be in it every year, no matter what. This Miami team has to prove that they're that caliber. Yeah, they could be that good, but they could also be horrible just as easily...

Having said that this group had amazing chemistry last year and the results showed it. There's not much in way of future development to get excited about but they could have a pretty good season.

Oh my....this cant be serious....Whiteside has hit his ceiling? Waiters cant improve his 43% FG, Olynyk will get more PT to make an impact, Bam is a rookie who had a nice SL and will play either the 4 or the 5 off the bench and Winslow was a lottery pick w a feel for the game...thats a few guys who can improve

All in all, Heat's roster isn't impressive, nor does the future look bright. Their chemistry is what is impressive. On paper, this team is meh.

Yeah? Please educate me on how they will accomplish that?

Other than pure chemistry...it's not happening. They lack talent, they just play very well together...surprisingly too. Not saying that they can't make the ECF, because you never know in the east. Compare them to the 2004 Pistons, they lacked talent compared to some of the superior teams, but chemistry is what put them above the rest.

Too me they are like the Jazz of the east with Hassan as the anchor. If they can turn Dragic + Winslow into Kyrie i think they are right there with Toronto

Miami will get 4th or 5th seed next year.
