Should've taken that challenge to guard them if they were giving it to their regular defenders.

Reaaaaaaaching quite a bit here

Reaching because he expects MVP candidate Harden to do the same thing MVP candidate LeBron has done many times this year - take the assignment of the other team's hot player and shut them down.

Jordan Bell should be here mentioned. I heard Bulls should not be forgiven EVA! And that he deserves ALREADY place in rafters. Thanks Sean Highkin and all NBA media. Who did saw this coming.

the man even has the audacity to whine about the refs lol

Too bad Harden remains Silver's guy so refs will be forced to keep giving him bogus foul calls which are the only reason he is considered a top 10 player.

By the season end no one remembers harden's b2b were in loses. It will be more like what is the joverall team record and harden's stats. While loses did affect team record, 50+ improved his stats significantly. I expect Rockets to end with top 2 record so these 2 loses dont count much and 2 50+ performances will help him much more than they hurt him

I don't remember MVP Steph Curry doing this, or MVP Derrick Rose, or MVP Russell Westbrook, or MVP Dirk Nowitzki, or MVP Steve Nash, or MVP Charles Barkley, or MVP Magic Johnson. That never killed their case as league MVP just because they weren't two-way players.

Standards for MVP are different every year. If your in-year competition is doing something, you should be able to meet the standard. Curry's comp was Harden himself and we know how he's not pushing the standard on defense so Curry had nothing to match. Rose's MVP was bull **** and he didn't deserve it. Westbrook, again, competed against Harden. Dirk competed against Nash and Nash against Dirk. Barkley and Magic, I won't comment on, I wasn't even alive back then.

If you were to watch games you'd know the inconsistencies referees have when officiating James Harden. Add to that the fact that Harden got called for two bogus offensive fouls and you'd see his frustrating boiling over. The inconsistencies have been apparent all season with the way they call Harden's usual shooting fouls. Free throw totals don't tell the story at all, that most shows who doesn't actually watch Houston games.

Harden should win MVP for the sequence that got him ejected. After fouling out, he popped the ball out of the refs hands, got a T, ref picked it up, and Harden popped it out of his hands again

This year Harden has one standard to live up to if he wants to win. And that is LeBron James. So comparisons to LeBron James are highly relevant.

Why is west brick so high and so far ahead of KD? Ludicrous.

The more interesting question is why Kawhi is so high, he's missed 30 games already and still not fully healthy.

Curry impact on teammates shooting

Curry miss - out of game
Curry out - played, but sit on bench
Curry in - on court

Klay FG% 3PT% EFG%
Curry miss 42,5 39,3 51,7
Curry out 47,2 40,0 53,3
Curry in 54,3 52,3 67,6

KD FG% 3PT% EFG%
Curry miss 46,7 31,8 52,0
Curry out 45,6 42,9 52,2
Curry in 53,6 40,2 60,6

Dray FG% 3PT% EFG%
Curry miss 41,2 32,1 50,0
Curry out 51,4 38,5 58,6
Curry in 44,4 31,6 52,4

Iggy FG% 3PT% EFG%
Curry miss 37,3 31,6 43,1
Curry out 37,5 23,5 42,5
Curry in 54,9 25,0 58,8

Its huge difference. GSW OFFRTG is only 16th in 8 last game.

If Lebrons wins i will be sorry for Harden. He deserves it.

Its like Dame and his all-star snub.

I am going with Harden. But Lebron, at his age, without Kyrie is playing out of his mind. I am so impressed.

In the last 8 games their DEFRTG has improved and Draymond Green also missed 5 of those last 8 games.

Also, the team is 7-1 in those last 8 games and 8-2 overall in games he missed. In fact, they have a better winning percentage in the 10 games he missed (.800) than in the 23 games he played (.783). That's not exactly a stellar case for MVP.

How does Harden "deserve it" if LeBron is outplaying him?

He is not, Harden already beat Lebron as well outplaying him this season in the game they played already. Not to mention has the best record in the league while the other has the 3rd best in his conference despite being heavily favorite to have the best record in the conference.
