We're obviously not winning a title this year but I'm sick of this "either a title or tank" crap. And we have won 50+ games for 20 effing years, whenever this record ends, it will be absolutely unbreakable. I don't know if he is actually thinking of leaving but if he is in his right mind, he wouldn't.

No, my only hope for the offseason was to re-sign Simmons who I keep hearing is not good "because advanced stats". So now we have a poor man's Simmons in Brandon Paul who's not even playing recently.

I was fine with losing Mills, and actually expected him to receive some outlandish offer. I don't know by heart what we signed him for but I remember it was within the reasonable price-range.
But on a larger scale, I like our approach with veterans and with continuity. There was a point after 2007 when I started thinking about how hard it is to win in the NBA and I wondered whether I'd see another Spurs title ever. And guess what, that title came on a team without a superstar, with a ton of vets some GMs would have tried to trade away, and with a bunch of young guys who our coaching staff helped develop and put in the best position to succeed. So I'm all for winning games and I believe that's how you become better. Until this front office (and hopefully coach Pop) is in charge of things, I will have faith in the long-term health of this team.

That package isn't gonna cut it for Leonard IMO. The two picks would probably be 20+ and i'm not sure if they'd wanna re-sign Randle. You'd have to make it Ingram instead to entice San Antonio.

To be fair, Spurs do have 3 guards ranked in the top 10 DRtg individuals, and that's without Kawhi.

Cavs offer the Brooklyn pick, future first, IT (expiring), Frye (expiring), Cedi, and Zizic.

But the Spurs won't trade him. He's hurt. Let him heal, come back and play. After they win like 18 of 20, he'll be good.

You really think even including Booker the Suns would have enough to trade for Kawhi? Not sure about that, but I'm pretty sure the Suns wouldn't do it anyway since I can't see Kawhi re-signing with the Booker-less Suns in 2019. The Suns roster may not be pretty now, but it would be a disaster if they traded Booker and their first or something for Kawhi and he left.

The organization that has 5 titles from three different decades. That has never had less than 50 wins in 20 years (lockout in 98-99 or it would have been longer)

The spurs are the epitome of WINNING. Why would kawhi leave one of the best organizations in the history of sports out of no where. Kawhi's personality seems like he would enjoy playing there and he seems like a loyal guy.

Spurs should just have Kawhi play out his contract and go from there. There is no point in trading him since they will never get equal value for him. If he leaves they can rebuild through the lottery versus getting a few good players for him and being a middle of the pack team.

You're acting like the Spurs are doing bad this season, did you know they have the best home record in the league? They're overall a top 5 team without their star player; yet you're acting like Gasol and Aldridge are making them lose games.

Why does the Media always try to forces small market star to make it look like they hate the place and want to leave for the Lakers or Knicks. You see how they are trying to force a Marc Gasol trade its a joke. Paul George and KD was like the only guys they got right, now they feel fueled to create drama in all small to mid market teams.

These are grown ass men. If they want to leave they want to leave

The media has said what it has said for years and Gasol has stated repeatedly that he wants to stay in Memphis. It's the economics of the NBA and having a losing team that creates most of these subplots. That's why they have the rules they have now to keep players with the teams that drafted them. Give them more money and hope that entices them to stay, because all things being equal, yeah I'd rather live in LA or Houston or Miami or NY than I would Minneapolis. No one besides basic human nature is creating the drama in the small market teams.
