Wow... written proof that people really can have too much of a good thing. Would love to see him walk... maybe Warriors could get Harrison Barnes back and be complete again.

KD: 21.8%
Curry: 7.9%

Draymond: 3.4%

I had no problem with KD last year because he fit right in with the offense. During the season he started to Iso a little too much and we had that end of game time when Draymond was yelling at him for it. But after that it was all good. In the playoffs he fit right in and he ISOed when he needed to. This year its the opposite, it is the KD show first then he might sit back and do some team stuff.

Again not blaming him for the loss last game, just as a GS fan, KD is no longer playing GS brand of basketball. He has fallen back to his ISO heavy offense.

That brand of basketball has you in the WCF with home court advantage.

Meh, they are people too and can comment just like other people, nothing pathetic about it. Their spouse or son don't control them.

No, it is pathetic. Don’t kid yourself.

The reason KD's ISO percent is up so much is because the game-plan had to change with Curry out for so long/while he gets back into a rhythm...How much it continues as the situation goes back to normal will be interesting, but the coach ought to be apportioned some of (probably most of) the blame if it continues.

Houston's switching D has shut down most of the cute little back door layups and wide open looks GS's offense has been built upon.

Thats always been the downside of motion offenses. If defenses dont crack and open a window for a good look, you have to settle for an isolation play.

I’m sure her comments are more a shot at the game plan than KD specifically. I don’t think KD is doing much wrong when he’s ISOing as he’s doing well it’s just that we haven’t done great outside of that. KDs ISOs weren’t why Draymond turned the ball over a ton in game 2. It should be a compliment to the team offense doing well but it just didn’t work out in a away playoff game which is often the case.

Really the biggest difference between games has been which team brought it more on defense. Warriors offense in half court although can be great still stagnates at times when they aren’t on fire and their runs where they come back or buy teams are fueled by defense into transition. They couldn’t stop Houston in game 2 and without being on fire or being able to run they struggled. Not because of ISO. Houston was just not sharp enough in defense in game one and gave up too many open shots. No team has looked unsolvable on offense besides some hot shooting. Whoever has defended best and created easy baskets has won. Even if Steph can’t be great game 1 against the Pelicans is the one we should strive to emulate every night. Defend, run, move the ball. If we can’t do that to create panic on the opposing defense a KD ISO isn’t this offense that’s way worse than other looks we’ve been creating in the half court

You have to understand that Kerr runs a read and react offense and entrusts his players to make decisions on the court. You cannot divorce what KD was doing from what Kerr tries to do in empowering his teammates. The problem is precisely that - when one player ball-stops and misses wide-open guys it gums up the whole works.

I know how the offense works I just think it’s more a critique of a directive that he should iso if he has a mismatch than KD hijacking the game plan. I’m sure Kerr either okayed it or didn’t speak against it when he saw he was scoring well which wasn’t necessarily a terrible move. We didn’t have a half
Court offense that was humming that stagnated because KD was ISOing. Game one it kept us in the game, helped silence runs and was a positive. Yeah our normal Offense wasn’t working great and we needed more passing in many parts of both games but besides in transition it wasn’t doing much because of the switching. Even if she did call out KD and his 38 point outings weren’t as impactful as one may think seeing the box score, it wasn’t this hindrance that caused our struggles in the half court.

Someday the reffs will throw out Green in the first minute when he starts barking at them....this is the only time I wish Joey Crawford was still around....
