yes, redick can and will be resigned if we get LEbron, that is why we gave him a massive 1 year deal this past year, with the understanding that he will sign for cheaper this year

Embiid
Lebron
Kawhi
Redick
Simmons

That is the dream scenario for Philly and would be one hell of a team.

To sign LeBron they need to renounce the rights to Reddick. He isn’t an option.

Sure he is. We'd have to trade or stretch bayless but as long as we are under the cap we can offer the MLE

Plenty of people close to JJ have basically said he'd re-sign for the min if we signed LeBron. If he did that, he'd be eligible for a 2-year early bird rights deal next summer. Or, he could sign for the room MLE next year. Either way, he wants to stay in Philly.

Nope. The MLE only exists for teams over the cap. If Philly goes under to sign James, the MLE goes away and is replaced by the room exception.

No outside shooters left on the Sixers really unless some trades are made(Fultz-Saric-Covington-Picks ). You may get some vets taking discounts to ride on Lebrons coattails.

If I'm the Sixers I try to get Danny Green or Mills back in a Kawhi trade. I think Danny especially would be a great fit with you guys

Market's getting tight. If he's just getting regular MLE offers he might be willing to take a little less for a year for the room exception then he gets a longer deal next year with his early birds.

If not they can look into someone like Ellington.

Simmons/Kawhi/LeBron/Embiid has a legitimate chance to win titles for years to come. People get too caught up in not wanting to trade their young guys so they can let the team grow organically and develop together but don't realize just how hard it is to win a championship in the NBA. Simmons, Embiid, and Philly's young core will certainly be a force in the East for years to come, but there's no assurance they'll be better than Boston or be able to take out whoever comes out of the West. You're not throwing away the future here. Kawhi is 27. Simmons and Embiid are 21 and 24. LeBron is older at 33 but he's coming off one of the best seasons of his career end to end and has the work ethic and durability to be better later in his career than pretty much anyone else in history. And Philly still has Zhaire, Shamet, and future picks.

If they pass on getting two top 5 players just so they can keep their current construction intact they'll regret it.

Not really. I think it would just force us to outbid Philly which would be pretty easy if we added Jaylen Brown and the Sac pick.

One hell of a team with alot of “names” if this was 1995.

Just need to fire Brett Brown and hire JVG/SVG and hold teams to 80 ppg while scoring 90 ppg.

The MLE is close to $10 million. Why not go to a team like Boston or Houston for MLE at $10 million. Or Golden State for the tax-payers MLE for $6 million.

He said "those closest to him", doesn't have to be family. Could be some of his other associates.

Idk, but I just don't think he would word the tweet in such definite terms saying Lebron "has made his decision". If there was any doubt, I would think he would tweet something about sources say, or "I've heard..."

This only makes sense if LeBron coming to Philly is contingent on Kawhi coming there. You could definitely make the argument that Philly would have to sacrifice their depth in order to trade for Leonard. But they could sign LeBron by stretching Bayless (or trading him) and renouncing JJ Redick.

As many have mentioned, the general consensus is that JJ likes Philly and will be back on a team friendly deal, especially if LeBron is in tow. So they'd really only need to lose Bayless to add LeBron.
