Re: Who are the "bastard sons" in your team's history?
I have been a Laker fan all my life and that is not a joke. My parents dressed me in the purple and gold, they screamed at the TV when I was a kid, they laughed they cried and they cheered. As I grew up and could start to remember I was right next to them doing the same thing and as a result, my kids do the same. Funny note: My oldest son tried to scoop me that we got Lebron James and I was like; Shams bro, stop following Woj. ( I am kidding I like Woj).
Where am I going with this? Well, it's simple. I don't dislike players for any personal reasons, I don't know them that way. I love the Lakers and I love the players that put on the uniform and if there is an opportunity to get the best players you don't hesitate for personal reasons and you enjoy the greatness that they will bring to your team in a quest to get back on top. Being a Laker makes things harder and I really respect ALL the players that come in and do the work and want to be a Laker. But overall .. sans Smush Parker, if you wear the P&G I will cheer you on.
Let the personal stuff go and enjoy. Oh and we got Lebron F'n James if you are mad at that well I don't know what to say.

I won't ever consider Paul George a "Pacer".
Between his poor leadership, calling guys out, quitting on the team, requesting a trade while telling other teams not to trade anything of value for him, etc. he just isn't someone I enjoyed having.
For the record, I disliked PG before he demanded a trade. I had been wanting to trade him for a while. He was clearly the best player the Pacers had, but just reeked of "I'm too good for this team." Might have been a fair assessment, but I have a tough time respecting guys who think like that.

Which of the other 29 teams wouldn't want Bron, enlighten me.
Your question is a non sequitor, is only tangentially related to what I actually said, and is not worth answering.

You can be unreceptive, dislike LeBron, dislike the move, dislike the front office, but actively rooting for another team and/or against what was your team is petty and un fan like.
I despise LeBron, and I wouldn't like it if he joined my team, but I'd still root for him/them.
Did I say I wasnt? If James Harden, the only player I dislike more than Lebron, was traded to the Lakers to play with him and they formed a special, primetime "**** picc and all his sports hopes and dreams" Laker duo, I would still root for the Lakers.
And I would still despise both of them and pray for the day they left. But whatever.
As it is, i'll be forced to swallow my team evolving through the lens of the ridiculous circus act Lebron and his entourage bring to whatever city they've calculated will help his legacy most, and thats just the way it is.
I just hope the young guys get a chance to develop a little in spite of Lebron and the boneheaded roster moves we've made because of him that are going to remove the ball from any of their hands (before they're traded away and the years of personal investment are rendered irrelevant). I do actually care about basketball more than just winning games and dont like a whole franchise being whored out to accomodate a colluding, team switching drama queen.
But yes. Go Lakers and f Lebron is definitely not mutually exclusive.

You may not be rooting against the Lakers, but the OP is. Thats why people are calling him a Kobe fan.

For the Suns, probably Kidd, Marbury and McDyess. Oh, and the Morris twins.

Calm down their cheif. Its related because only a team who's fanbase is insecure about Bron being better than their childhood idol is gonna get upset by this.
You mentioned outside the city limits of L.A so its absolutely related. Learn what them big words mean before you start throwing em around.
If pussy ASS KD came to the Heat, I still wouldn't like the dude, but I'd root for him as hard as anybody. Cause thats my team.

He didnt actually say he will be rooting against the Lakers.
Cheering for the Warriors and against Lebron doesnt mean he's hoping the Lakers lose. I actively root for OKC because I like them the 2nd most, but i'll be rooting for LA more, as always. Make sense? Until he actually posts the words "I am cheering for the Lakers to fail", you are all putting words in his mouth.

As he's going to root for the Warriors as well as the Lakers, while simultaneously hoping Lebron somehow fails. But maybe he can clear it up.

If that's what he means he needs to convey that. As written it reads more like he will root for the warriors and not the Lakers until LeBron leaves.
If the bulls did something to make me angry I wouldn't say "I'm just going to be a Mavs fan until x player leaves".
