It may not be obvious but the events that have transpired are an opportunity for KD to be supremely gracious. But with these comments and the attitude behind them he is sinking the opportunity.

KD should give his teammates maximum opportunity—as much as Kerr would be comfortable with—to show what they can do without him. If his calf isn't 100% he should take as much time to recover as circumstances allow. If it's discretionary he should ask to come off the bench and only come in if it looks like he is needed. He should allow his teammates to take the limelight.

I don’t think this post leaves any doubt that he’s ambivalent at best about the Warriors winning without him.

That he is ambivalent is natural. It's human nature to want to feel needed. But he better figure out what he's about.

I take the diametrically opposite view of the commonly expressed opinion. The common view seems to be he cannot stay if his teammates win a championship without him. I believe he should feel perfectly comfortable staying if he can be genuinely happy for his teammates proving themselves. If he cannot, he should leave.

Everything is motivation to him. He uses tweets of some nobodies for motivation ffs.
I remember MJ had to use some imaginary stories for that. Lebron used ghosts. Curry is the king of "Never too high never too low" mantra. Kobe just went with his assholish egoistical alterego called "black mamba". Duncan relied on Manu and Pop for that.
KD uses social media hatred, which is the most easy way. Even in this he's efficient.

Sigworthy for anyone in the market for one...

Top 1 GOAT for most insecure

Jordn was still crying about high school when he went into the hall of fame. He was every bit as petty if not more so. He just didn't have a twittler or instant account to post from.

I've always wondered that. Dude is super rich, popular, successful and he's crazy insecure. Can't explain it, either.
Good assessment:

This guy will not survive long in NYC if this is how he behaves.

He can't handle 1/10th of what Carmelo Anthony dealt with.

KD is still the greatest player ever.

KD needs to go see a psychiatrist. His head is certainly messed up might have been brain damaged.
The funny part is he might actually kill himself or retire if he cant handle the media in NY.

So KD is the problem, not social media lynch mobs ?.

Pretty much everyone who derides him for the burner account is posting on what amounts to a burner account themselves.

 social media lynch mobs?

First of all way to marginalize the concept of lynchings by using it in this context..

Secondly, KD responded to a completely innocuous statement that was giving credit to the team for managing to step up despite missing a key cog to their championship ambitions.

Characterizing this tweet as something that KD should rightfully be offended by is absurd.

Notwithstanding which he has been endlessly targeted in social media by people mostly never fans of his who didn’t want him to succeed wherever he went anyway for making a FA move when eminently qualified as same for not acceding to their wishes. Why the hell should he have done so ?.

And to draw a parallel Godwin himself has said his law doesn’t apply when actual genuine fascism is involved. if you wish to argue, the social media lynch mob thing is a very considered view of mine on the social media phenomenon generally which I hold deeply, and something responsible for many deaths as it happens. Of applying my general view too specifically in this instance I might plead guilty.

And as I implied if anyone is cowardly it is those essentially posting from burner accounts themselves.

Maybe KD needs a Twitter handler or a social media council. I'm sure he made a reading comprehension mistake, but damn, don't he know not to beef down?

He does. I am to a degree attempting to do it pro bono.

Another strange detail. The kid doesn’t mention his name in the post. But KD referred to him by his name (Mikey). That means KD took the time to click on the account and check out the kid's profile before responding.

Pathetic.

Not even deep down hes upset they are winning, I bet he is hardcore upset they are winning now. I really hope KD stays injured if Dubs win, that would be hilarious. This guy just doesnt get how clearly he exposes his insecurity, what a clown.
