Doncic is a stat padder on a bad team. Put him on the Celtics and he's a less athletic Jaylen Brown with terrible defense.

The Mavs are a better team than the Celtics and it's all because of Luka. The Celtics become championship contenders with Luka.

It's definitely close, but he is 1st in PER, WS/48 and BPM/VORP as of now, so...in theory, it is simply unimaginable for a 20-yr old to sustain these numbers and average 30/10/10 on 63 TS%, but even if his play only declined by a bit, he would definitely be in contention.

PER is kind of a bull stat, but Doncic is actually having the highest single-season PER of all-time by a pretty significant margin right now.

1. On what metric is Harden better on O than Luka? Luka has a better eFG%, same TS%, better OBPM, better ORtg, and his team is the number one ranked offense.

2. Luka isn't a "bad" defender. He has a 105 DRtg, 2.3 DBPM. Harden, for example, is at 108 DRtg and -.7 DBPM...
