Right now it's becoming close where team usa vs the world would be a competitive game. If you split up team world then team USA will kill everyone.

ESPN exec: "Coach, ratings are dropping by the minute. I'd like you to play more Okogie, Wagner, Ukrainmaker, and Melli."
World coach: "But sir, we'll lose if we do that. I'm playing the Canadians and Luka."
ESPN exec: "You do that and Trump will try you for treason."
World coach: "I will take the bribe."

US is just still way deeper than anyone else. The top level talent is catching up, but this game is a perfect illustration. As soon as the World team bench came in, they just couldn't hang.

In all fairness the world rosters have had better talent in recent year, this year an exception (in part due to Ayton missing). So to say that it's becoming close to a competitive game is incorrect IMO - USA usually has better depth while the World typically has the better top talent.

I agree though that things shouldn't be split up - but who knows maybe in the future it could work. Something like 6 man rotations since the games are shorter, and probably with a USA A and a USA B team. E.g. 6 teams consisting of USA A, USA B, Europe, Canada, Africa, Rest of the World. It would delude the talent pool and lower the threshold of being selected a "rising star" though.

So who will start to chuck for MVP in the last minutes. Right now it is still an open race.

im down to have the rookies vs the wnba allstars

If they let them play 7 v 5

... they might only lose by 50 points, if both teams took it serious.
