If it happens it happens, I am a Warriors fan and it would be hypocritical of me to hate on this. If Giannis decides to sign a 1+1 deal and join the Lakers rather than sign the $228 million supermax then so be it. He would definitely get KD levels of hate. It remains to be seen if he is as thin-skinned as KD.

That was the list AD gave the Pelicans, remember?

What he really meant was LA AND Milwaukee

Hey, if the Axis of Evil happens in Brooklyn, we may need a LeBron, AD, Giannis to combat it

Also.. unlike the others over here.. I don't think that team is going to be better than this version of Lakers.. an older Bron and an overrated Giannis is nothing to gloat about.

If Giannis signs the the Lakers, I give up on the NBA. We just got out of the boring as hell Durant led Warriors Super Duper Team, I can't stand an era of another one. It's ridiculous to even think about.

Giannis won't join the Lakers as long as Lebron is on the lakers, the same way Lebron never considered LA as long as Kobe was there.

And that said, as a basketball fan, I'm glad that's the case.

Cool to see AD factoring this in though (if true), and cool to see him thinking sustaining contending for the remainder of his Lakers career.

It is ok, let them do it. And next year Miami grabs Kawhi and then let the games begin

If this happens might as well stop watching the NBA if you're not a Lakers fan

The teams that we hear and are hoping to sign Giannis are all contenders for a championship. Toronto, Miami, Dallas. Not sure why adding Lakers there would sound more absurd than that. Durant signing with GSW, or Harden trying to force his way to Nets, should throw out any such impression. Anything is impossible so long as players want it. If Giannis wants to be a Laker, he will be. Or if he wants to play for the Heat or Raptors or Mavs, the same.

I wouldn't want to see Giannis go to LA, but I guess it is execs jobs to maximize their winning probability, not parity, so I don't have a problem with the Lakers going after him. I just hope that they don't get him.

We are contenders for a what?

And we aint going to add Giannis, people are crazy to think that. I would also be shocked if he goes to LA.

Miami, or Toronto, yes that I can see. He wants his own team. This guy is not ok with joining up with superstars and what he would love the most, is to make it with the Bucks. That is who Giannis is

You guys realioze multiple superteams will form next summer or possibly this year if Harden is traded to the Nets. If that happens, Giannis has no choice but to join the Lakers. Not only that, CP3, Kawhi, and Paul George will be UFA next summer. CP3 said he would like to return to LA. I dont think Butler/Bam/Giannis is better thana possiblt Nets superteam or Clippers superteam.

I hope Giannis signs in Milwaukee. The league is infinitely more interesting with many good teams. Adding Giannis to "anyone" makes the league way less watchable.
