My theory on why he's so popular on the Hornets is because the other guards have that much more job security due to how terrible he is.

I was gonna say at least LaMelo has Adam Morrison to cling to as the worst Hornet player ever, but I checked bballref quickly and found out he was a Bobcat player. Different chises.

Lamelo has gotten to be a much better 3 point shooter.

What I don't get however (and it's a small sample size) is how is Lamelo for someone being a 6-7 guard with a good wingspan scoring only 38.1% of the time on his 2 pointers?

Like Lamelo has a 7 foot advantage over someone like FVV but has a lower FG% than him?

This bump had me confused.

But people were crazy to doubt LaMelo. The only question was how tall he would get. Dude was the best scorer of all the brothers in HS and years younger. I think too, often younger brothers benefit from playing against older brothers(maybe there is a statistic in that, are older or younger brothers more likely to succeed.)

I'm confused why this was bumped now, as well? He's been monumentally bad the last two games, and not just on defense (where he's always been a liability) but on offense.

6.5ppg on 14% fg, 10% 3pt.

He might be the most clever dumb player in the league. Lots of natural ability and he can get hot, but as a point guard who can lead the team, he's got a heck of a long way to go.
