green is a better shooter so he makes up for it with similar athleticism, quickness comparable sg prospect to edwards.
they are all merely great prospects, i dont see a guaranteed superstar. need to see full 4yrs of rookies if they are all nba material or not. but not the ideal top 3 pick guys who erupts in day 1 and become all stars or borderline like lamelo/mobley.

They're both listed 6-4?

One is 186 lbs
One is 220 lbs

Until he can be even averag defensively he’s just a guy. Just facts. Right now he simply lost on that end of the floor.

So a disproportionate amount of Red Salsa's posts seem to be extremely similar to "Edwards sucks on defense. He just does because he does. It's so obvious he does. It's a fact he sucks on defense. Edwards isn't good on defense. He's just not. That's the truth."

Ha. A bit too obvious for my more discerning taste... but hey, it's working. Keep it going, Red Salsa.

Too bad the search function is down. I’m sure we could find some gems.

It's so crazy to see a star wing in Minnesota have a poor-ish game offensively yet still collect 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Didn't know that was even possible to do.

The back and forth between Edwards and Ingram last night was very fun to watch.

Edwards just has IT. That crazy athleticism, that big body, to go with a good base of skills. When you see him get that fire lit under him, damn is he fun to watch.

Also ya not seeing this “horrible on defense” thing either. I feel like many act like if you’re not a stud defender, that must make you a horrible defender. He seems pretty okay on that end from what I’ve seen. Teams aren’t running their offense to purposely get him into actions to take advantage of him. I don’t see him continually getting beat off the dribble or getting lost on rotations. Ya I don’t see him making a huge impact defensively, but he just started his 2nd season, shouldn’t really expect that yet. Seems just fine on that end in my opinion.

He's like most offensive-oriented young players. His physical tools allow him to be okayish on ball, but off ball you can see him get caught ball watching a bit and his rotations aren't always crisp.

But yeah big difference between being a young, 2nd year guy who hasn't quite put it all together and being a player other teams constantly attempt to put into PNR action to hunt.

He's not a good defender currently, but he's not a major liability and weakspot. I mean if we are brutally honest, his two offensive co-stars are bigger targets at that end.

Ya don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s a good defender yet. Seeing him, he looks like your average 2nd year defender. A few mental lapses here and there, but nothing to be worried about. Again seems pretty okay on that end.

It’s usually pretty easy to tell who are the truly bad defenders. The opposing offenses make it pretty clear. When you see an opposing offense constantly putting a defender into actions and trying to run their offense against that player. You know that offense watched tape and came to the conclusion the easiest way to get a bucket is to attack that player.

I’m not seeing teams do that against Edwards. And ya they definitely do it against KAT. I mean the Pels were spamming PnRs against KAT and just having JV go one on one against him non stop.

Ya Edwards doesnt look like a Thybulle kind of stud defender from day one. But he doesn’t look useless out there either. Just looks like your average 2nd year player on the defensive side. His defense isn’t really newsworthy (positively or negatively).

I just find his personality so refreshing.

Humble, sincere, talkative.

The sky's the limit for this guy. Hard to dislike him.

He reminds me a lot of Dwyane Wade when he first came into the league, which makes sense because he has purposefully modeled his game after him.

Crazy to see these kind of quotes from a 2nd year kid. He's looking like the alpha KAT has always needed so he could just put his head down and play, basically everything they wanted Wiggins to be.

I mean the last time KAT played with an Alpha (Butler) he completely wet himself. I'm not sure what a younger player calling him out will do to him

On the flip side, the last time KAT played with an alpha he made the playoffs

21.3 ppg
12.3 reb
54.5% fg
42.1% 3fg

That seems alright. Now Wiggins...

His scoring went down 6 ppg.

17.7 ppg
4.4 reb
43.8% fg
33.1% 3fg
