I remember when Morey was asking for Lowry, FVV, OG & the 4th overall pick for Simmons lol... By setting those types of expectations in the minds of Philly fans, there's no way Simmons will ever get traded because Morey's ego can't handle the perceived loss if he were to accept a realistic deal.

On the Philly side, Simmons to the underperforming Hawks for Gallinari / Reddish / Huerter makes a lot of sense.
I don't wanna kill your buzz here but Tyrese Haliburton is also in a relationship and will probably get engaged and probably even married at some point. Are you sure you want someone like that potentially on your roster?

That was cause Toronto GM wanted Maxey thybulle and 2 first rounds for 2 month rental of Lowry. That’s what really pissed off morey. Can you blame him?

No all Raptors players must be virginal and also must not enjoy pickle and jam sandwiches. How's that for you?

I don't think people are paying attention to who Fox actually is as a player and that he's now making the max. This isn't some valuable asset. He's never going to be a top 10 PG.
to say fox has no potential is ridiculous what philly wants a young guy locked up multiple yrs and fox, hali are on morey's list.
your not getting harden, kd.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Not sure why it's so endlessly fun to make boring professionals seem ridiculous, but Morey was 'asking' for that because he has always wanted to package Simmons with picks and young guys to trade for Dame, Beal, or another star player who can pair with Embiid and have a chance against BKN, MIL, PHX, and so on in the next couple years. That's the plan, always has been, and Morey and the rest of the media that actually talks to people has been repeating that for like 6 months now.
You can disagree with the strategy--it's definitely risky--or point out for the 500th time that it might not work out, but it's just a simple, boring play that has nothing to do with Morey being delusional or an idiot or whatever else. Not much more to say besides 'I see what you're doing, still don't think it'll happen.'

The Chad dad Cade Cunningham vs the virgin single Scottie Barnes

Kings should trade Fox for Beal.
Then trade Haliburton, Barnes, Picks for Simmons.
Beal, Simmons.... as SG, SF combo.... Kings then sign a spot shooter for PG.
Why would the Wizards want Fox over Beal? Makes no sense at all.

because Beal would look for supermax... Wizards might want to keep their roster relatively young also. Kings would be the one risking signing their future away with a 200 Milion Contract for Beal.
Kings can send futures or pick swaps as incentive. Fox is having a down year but couldjust be the Kings environment...

Re: [Kyle Neubeck] The Kings are open to trading De’Aaron Fox and/or Tyrese Haliburton for the right deals
To add. The sixers aren’t desperate to unload Simmons.
He can only take the mentally not ready to play for so long. Mentally not ready to play for sixers? Or mentally not ready to play period. ? Most of us know the answer considering the leaks coming out of klutch pointed out to Simmons not wanting to play for sixers and not the not ready to play mentally
Even the players union rep said last week this should have been resolved (the trade). Not one mention of mental illness
Anyways Klay sat out for 2 seasons wasting curry prime.
We don’t know how long embiid prime will be.
Guess Simmons can sit out for 2 seasons as well. And if sixers owners approve of it. Morey will do it.
Klay and his 30-35 million were useless to golden state the last 2 seasons.

Interesting comparison, but how many chips have the sixers won during Embiid's tenure? Not to mention, I think it's highly unlikely Embiid's knees have the same career longevity as Curry who's easily a top 10 of all time... I'm not saying the sixers should take any offer, but there's got to have been a reasonable offer or two which have presented themselves over the past 6 months that Morey begrudgingly declined because he's expecting a jackpot.

Lol why all the non-Sixers fans care so much about Simmons? Morey will trade him when he finds the right trade for the team, i.e. when he can get a star. Or he will be forced to trade him for whatever reason and lose the trade. One would have expected that people would have understood that by now.

Truest words spoken. Fox is now making max money.
So is Simmons

I know the thread is not about it, but no way can you say Curry is "easily top 10 of all time". In order to do so, he'd have to knock someone on this list down, and that's just to make 10th: MJ, LJ, KAJ, Magic, Bird, Oneal, Russell, Kobe, Wilt, Duncan.

I think the Sixers are invested in Maxey now, it seems like they want a big wing or forward, which explains why Jerami Grant is on their list. Danny Green is on his last legs, shouldn't be a starter, but they can't start Thybulle because he can't shoot. A Maxey, Curry, Ingram, Harris lineup is great.
This pushes maxey to become pass first pg . Is he capable of that , tobias,bi both need touches with Embiid.
Maxey
Thybulle
BI
Ingram
Joel.
Would be the line up.
Think the next step to this would be trading Harris.

Philly's the one who's going to be adding pieces here buddy. Nobody is trading a star for complimentary piece like Simmons, you'd think eight months of getting zilch would have taught you that already.
Also, Barnes is a 3+D guy who can defend SFs and PFs well, he's like the opposite of Harris. He's averaging 16/6 on 41% from 3, you're high if you think Green for Barnes isn't a significant upgrade.
hmm, I agree with him, and disagree with you. Ok to consider Fox a star, I might do it too, but he is a rising one, that commit a lot of errors, isnt a great shooter, what would be ideal to pair Embiid with, but yes, he is a star. Fox isnt a young player anymore, he is already on a max deal, we should expect a high level of play. Also I agree that Simmons is a complementary piece, the point here is, Simmons is one of the best complementary pieces on the league on my view, in the right roster he will play on the fastbreaks, pass to the open man, help on the boards and be a defensive nightmare, while Fox is among the lesser stars, for me a great complementary piece is better than a so so star.
Barnes is very good, and I wished Miami to chase him in a trade, he would be very nice in our roster, though PJ Tucker is playing very nice. Though Barnes cant play the 3, or better saying, he is much better playing the 4, and Tobias too, the Sixers know he isnt a viable 3, its redundant. Talent wise its nice return for Simmons, but not the best fit for the Sixers. They have Embiid, who might be a viable fulcrum of a title team, they cant make a mistake with a big trade now, it would be hard to get off of Fox contract if this doesnt work
Dude what the hell are you talking about? Barnes literally started at the 3 for a championship team. You would rather have a complimentary piece than a actual star? We've already seen how that plays out in the playoffs. Why would Fox be anymore difficult to move than Simons right now? Just the most bizarre reasons to not make a trade... anyone with a brain is going to choose a lead who can drop 20 ppg over a complimentary piece giving you 12 ppg. You think the Sixers would have rather had Seth Curry or Ben Simmons in the playoffs.
That was ages ago, he isnt a 3, he is way more valuable as a 4, he can defend them and has a lot of advantage attacking the opposing 4. The Sixers have Embiid as their main scorer, if Simmons returned today they would have Tobias, Curry and Maxey to get them buckets, Simmons wouldnt be a big problem. Fox is a bad long range shooter, isnt overly efficient and is a big downgrade in playmaking, Simmons might not be the answer, but Fox isnt too. Right now its easier to move Fox, he is playing... But anytime Simmons is way more valuable, there arent s lot of guys capable of doing what he does, but theres a lot of score first guards as Fox.
If I was going to get back Fox as the headliner in a trade for Simmons, I wouldnt complete it, Fox wont move the needle

celtics should try to ship schroder and a slew of picks for either of those guys, would be a nice upgrade
