Middleton was saving the bucks ass in alot of late game situations finals and earlier in the playoffs, especially vs the nets.
Everyone's got "what u do for me lately" and only remember Giannis' no doubt epic game 7.

I would not put his season/run in the top 5 individual runs at all. But it is definitely on the higher side of runs by superstars.
Better than any run curry (due to Cavs injury 2015, and KD joining) or LeBron (handpicked superteams and also masterminding Draymond suspension in 2016)
has done. I mean it's only the best run since arguably Kawhi. Most definitely not better than dirks 2011 run against way harder competition.

Without a road win the Bucks could not have won four games since the Nets had home court advantage.

No, the Nets can't beat the Bucks without home town refs. Prove me wrong.

As a higher seed the Nets would have more home games and win 4-3 if the refs were the only factor.

The Bucs might have stolen a couple games but the Nets were the better team.

Cool story. Let's keep playing hypotheticals.

What about the 'if only KD had a half size smaller shoe?' hypothetical. I'll tell you what happens. He doesn't make all of the shots that he did all game. He wears those shoes to be comfortable so that he can play better. With different size shoes he's not comfortable, and not making the same shots all game. With different shoes, the Nets aren't even close enough to worry about a final shot.

I agree when looking at his playoffs as a whole. There are other individual campaigns that are arguably better (not taking away his game 6 performance as one of the greatest individual games in history in a Finals decider).

On 'Midds saving his ass', that's a disingenuous take on what happens. What you had was a one-two punch. Giannis sets em up, Midds knocks em down. Not that Giannis has ever been a 'shrinking violet' in clutch time.

How can anyone watch Giannis and say he has no skill? Also why is anyone diminishing his title? Having such a dominant performance after suffering a knee injury of that caliber was nothing short of remarkable. Is not like it was pure luck either. They've been an elite team for several years beforehand. They benefited from circumstances but they also had their share of adversity as well.

Since Lebron and Giannis' PS runs were being compared by a few people in this thread

RAPTOR-8.78

2016
Inflation Adjusted 28.2 points per 75 (rTS% of 5.7%)
AuPM/G-7.3

RAPTOR-10.6

2020

2021 Giannis' Championship Run
Inflation Adjusted 29 points per 75 (rTS% of 3.1%)

Giannis's runs is nice and all but arguments to say it was better than Curry's 2015 become forced very quickly and betray logical dissonance. Cavs' injury? What of the Nets injuries? The Bucks were far closer to being sent home than the Warriors were. The Bucks did not put up as impressive a regular season. The Bucks were not as much of a long shot as the Warriors to begin the season. Either Giannis' run is being overrated or Curry's underrated.
