Kyrie and Ben together on 1 team, 2 of the most mentally steady guys in the league (and I'm not even talking about KD)

Yeah - you and everybody else on the GB are hoping that Kyrie saves you from your brutal takes about Morey .

Hey sunshine. In case you missed it, Ben Simmons and Rich Paul got exactly what they wanted. They played the team, the league and the game itself in a way so ridiculous that the next CBA is going to lockout the league.

You made the Nets the favourite tonight.
They lacked defense? You gave them Simmons. They lacked boards? You gave them Drummond.
And one more shooter to add to the mills/kyrie/Harris/KD shooting core. And two picks in case they need extra reinforcements.

But yet you want flowers. For paying Harden 50mil next year at the age of 34.
You have two years to contend. After that, bye Felicia.
But hey, congrats to Morey. Congrats to you.

Thanks! I am sure that Morey is thrilled as well (as is the entire Sixers fanbase).

Simmons will help the Nets. I certainly would not have picked the Nets as the team to trade him to. But if you would have asked this board two months ago whether the Sixers would get JAMES HARDEN for Simmons and some smaller assets (no Maxey or Thybulle), you would have been LAUGHED OFF OF THIS BOARD.

(and you know this)

I think that Harden has a TON to prove. Worked his way off of TWO teams in 15 months, and that look in Sacramento was horrific. I am being clear-eyed about what we are getting. But even on one good leg the guy is averaging 23/8/10, playing 37 minutes a game. It says here that he understands both Morey sticking out his you-know-what for him (again) as well as the pressure to regain his standing in the league after all of this - very much the same as Simmons. My take is both guys are going to want to prove the doubters wrong. We will see what happens. And here's the thing - he opted into 2022-23, and he is going to want to show the Sixers that he is worth the extension, so - for now at least - he will be on his best behavior, I would think.

My issue with your post was that you wanted this board to apologize to Morey? Or i Perceived it that way.
Apologize for what exactly? The guy initially caused the Simmons saga by trying to trade Simmons for Harden since last season.

Morey always wanted Harden. He would have picked him over LeBron, KD, Giannis, Embiid, Steph or anyone.
We get that.
What we also get is that the only team that Simmons shouldn't be traded was Brooklyn.
He covers their needs so much, it's disgusting.
Now, a clown like Kyrie can coast all he wants, they have a guard who defends and passes the ball.

On top of that, they also got a guy who can rebound (another big issue for them) and one more elite shooter(like they were lacking in that department). And picks? For extra reinforcements?

I believed Morey should have traded Simmons since he initiated all this 1,5 year ago. But not to Brooklyn ffs.
I was laughing when there were posts about a Simmons/Lillard swap. I still laugh. Although Portland doesn't have a clue of what they're doing, they did not do that.

You can be thrilled all you want, it's your right.
I wouldn't be thrilled paying Harden (especially this version) 50mil, while reinforce a main rival. But that's me.
Brooklyn became the favourites within a night.
I hate that but I can't do anything else rather than hoping that Kyrie will screw this over again, sonehow.

The stories of Kyrie Irving having too much baggage for their teammates and coaches to accept and they ultimately sour on him, continues to follow him.

Irving seems to be one of those guys where if you meet him, he seems cool short term, but the more you spent time with him, he starts rubbing you the wrong way.

Thank for pointing this out. You sometimes forget the human aliment in as these trades. Luckily his kids are super young and not in school yet. But moving sucks no matter how much money you have. Wish him the best luck.
