And typically you don't see guys with a 'superstar' moniker being dealt so often. He's on his 4th team now, traded all 3 times, with 2 of the times being because he effectively quit on the team after he wasn't able to push them over the top. He's like the Ricky Davis of superstars, only in it for himself.

So yeah, count me among those who think he has a ton to prove in Philly, and it might be his last chance to prove he can do it as a top player. Because if the PHI thing fizzles out, whats next? Get traded to a treadmill team and have it be their 'star acquisition'?

Harden is right about one thing, the pressure is more on Morey than on him. If this win-now move doesn't pay dividends then Morey sacrificed The Process for a first/second round exit team.

To be fair...the Sixers weren't going to win with Simmons so there's nothing really to sacrifice. Simmons is soft as hell, always has been. He wants to be a celebrity and live in a big market and be seen. He's got the big market now. But until he can learn how to shoot hes going to continue to underwhelm. Is there literally anyone on this board that would have drafted him over Jaylen Brown at this point?

Morey wont be graded on Simmons vs Harden. Simmons was always getting traded, so what mattered was the return. Morey will be graded on Harden vs Haliburton/Hield/Curry/Drummond/picks vs CJ/Covington/Curry/Drummond/picks vs Brogdon/Lavert/Curry/Drummond/picks. Harden has to show up in the playoffs to prove him right.

Uh yes he does. The antics he pulled in OKC & Brooklyn WILL NOT FLY in philly. Unless he wins a championship with the 6ers, he'll NEVER hear the end of it if he did. I can't remember where I heard of Harden visiting strip clubs during the nba finals...maybe here. He can wait till the season's over to go there. He'd get better treatment if he wins

Because of what he achieved and how good he was? I don't think anyone has his all-time ranking quite as high as Kobe because he wasn't healthy enough and didn't quite reach the breadth of what Kobe accomplished, but Wade was a phenomenal player for quite some time and racked up a lot of the appropriate achievements and recognition.

Morey will make 2 or 3 years of desperation moves making the team slightly worse to string you along, so he has time.

Hey I give him props, at least he played this entire post season with the sane level of f_cks given in this quote of his

Harden strikes me as the kind of dude that really doesn't care if he wins a championship or not, as long as he has his money to spend on strip clubs.

I am sure he saw strippers before the game the night before just like the close out game vs San Antonio when he was with Houston.

Not shooting or being involved in the second half offense was one thing- and horrendous.

But he also gave up like 3 or so putbacks on simply effort plays. Huge momentum changing plays.

He wasn’t engaged and had lost interest in the game. He has a habit of this.

Wade didn't have the mamba mentality. Kobe by default.

peak wade was as good or better than Kobe. The stats reflect that. Eye test too. Kobe wins on longevity though.

The stats also reflect Harden being better than Wade. But we all know that isn't true.

Oh man. “Mamba mentality” will never not be hilarious.
