Lowry has actually been Miami's most clutch scorer during the regular season while obviously being Miami's floor general. Heat are much more organized offensively. Held the forte down and maintained the #1 seed when Jimmy/Bam were out significant time during the regular season. Not to mention even though he isn't at his defensive peak anymore, he was a huge upgrade as a point of attack defender from Dragic & Nunn while fitting into Jimmy's timeline in terms of championship window.

The hamstring injury has been a thorn on his side this playoffs and the Heat should just rest him since Gabe has been solid and Oladipo is back and fill in for the time being.

Unlike you, I actually watch games so not hard to be definitive.

Wonder if poor Joel is going to cry again if he loses this year. I hope the fans in Miami aren’t too mean to him like those scary Raptor fans who called him names. Poor guy.

lol

Still laughing? Didn’t think so. Enjoy the off-season and keep trusting that process.

“Playoff Lowry”, 30 million dollars gets you 0 points.
He is still owed 60 mil and will be 36+ next season lol. Someone should get fired

The only upside here is that Lowry can literally become a solid contributor simply by losing weight. He's "washed" but he could easily lose 20-30 lbs and that would would propel him into useful player territory. However, I don't know if he's motivated enough to do that.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

If round is considered at shape then he is in that shape. 30 million dollar ugh. That gets people fired.

He’s almost always injured this time of year. It’s no surprise he looks washed like CP3

Yeah I was really discouraged to see the line last night. I know he's a player who is 'more than his stats' a lot of the time. But one rebound in 24 minutes... ouch.

In game 3,I thought he was pretty good, in a chaotic sort of way, but other than that... he's looked pretty washed. Hoping he can still turn it around, but for a 37(?) yr old PG who's never taken the best care of his body, he might be done.

Prove me wrong KL

As was the case with Paul, it's the injury that is hampering him. Miami will have to start managing his minutes next season - 34mpg during the regular season was a bit too much for him at this stage of his career.

He looks old fat and slow. Retirement life in South Florida, not half the player he was 5 years ago.

Why did they give him a fully guaranteed contract? Should've went the CP3 route. I mean Paul is the superior player, who is only 1 year older but his contract has 10M less guaranteed money IIRC.

Never should have traded an actual NBA player for him. Maybe a late first rounder for the risk.

The Heat bought into their own excitement and got tricked, they like the rest of the league should have held to their guns and realized trading for a former all-star lvl PG over the age of 35 was a horrible decision in general.

The Heat would have gotten more value by saddling Lowry with the Raptors, not that they had to face them but it would have lower the ceiling for a rival starkly. Let them pay the Haslem price and end up benching him next year instead of the Heat.

Hmm, age and injury affecting another older Small player. When you are 6'0 tall in the NBA, you need everything you can to perform. When you get older, same thing. Add age and injury, even if it isn't a massive injury and an old, small player can go from productive to quite unproductive quickly.

Remember last year when Raptors fans were angry that no one traded for him, and they were saying if Lowry joined a contender it would guarantee them a championship? All these teams were foolish not to give the Raptors whatever they wanted for a 34 year old point guard who was expiring.

Good times.
