I would say either defending champs Slovenia or France. Can't go wrong with either. I also honestly didn't expect Germans to be this strong.

Watch Germany shoot for 25% in the next one and lose from Spain.

Well, what I have seen so far Spain plays defense. Greece doesn't.

We even got a bit of a favourable whistle but Germany was just too much. You make a million shots you win the basketball game, that's how it is.

Greece needs to go back and figure out how come the whole world has learned how to shoot, except for us.

Turkey doesn't lerarn either mate.
But Greece has no first-class quality beside giannis. they lack players like diamantidis, spannoulis etc

i am just amazed... wow.... when I bought the Tickets for the final weekend (semi Finals and Finals) i never thought that i will be wearing my germany Jersey and singing the National anthem at least in the semi final.

this is the best german Team that i have ever seen. yes, Dirk is by far the best we ever had, but this is just so deep. 4-6 guys Know how to score when in doubt and everyone hustles their ass of and plays for each other. Just wow. what a Statement.

Only Larentzakis was impressive besides Giannis. Dorsey was nowhere to be found after the first game. Sloukas and Calathes were terrible. Papagiannis was actually dangerous. Kostas Antetokounmpo just took a spot in the end with his injury. If he was healthy he could actually guard someone in the paint.

I told you Spain are the favorites. Germany on home court, Italy & Slovenia can win this tournament too.

I've never understood people voting for Greece, Slovenia or Serbia.

Spain are the favorites until it's proven otherwise.

Do you think they had a chance if they had Kostas Ant? He looked pretty effective both offensively and defensively in the earlier game that I watched.

Greece Nr2 should be a case of perceived easier path to the finals. Someone called Germany a favourite in this game. Good call. Slovenia was 1st I think before start of the tournament and should be back there now if not already there.

Nah. They have big wings and shooters that we simply can't match, they're just a better team. These are knock out games, and when you have Giannis anything is possible, but overall Greek basketball is just not producing enough talent these days.

Dorsey was a chucker in the Acb in Murcia. I don't know how he ended there but is a crazy guy without consistency shooting. Greece had the talent 15 years ago. With Papaloukas, Spanoulis and Diamantidis. Even they had bigs who can shoot in that moment but Grecee never have been a shooting high scoring team and they were Greece as a indentity a rock playing 60 points games slow pace controling the tempo playing a lot with the playbook and the important moments. Now you have the same but without talent and soft players when Greece was one of the best defensive physical tough teams always.

Then you have Giannis. In Fiba Giannis is much more smaller than in the Nba on both sides even more on defense it looked today and always when he played Fiba tournaments for the style of play a team game always, the size of the players wich always has been underrated, the rules and size of the court and the slower pace. First he is too big to be a primarly creator and he doesn't have the enought talent and space in Fiba and second he can't create space in the outside because he is not a good shooter on defense is even worst at the 5 because in Fiba you have to be the 5 be down low always control the paint, close the rebound and Giannis for so big he is he always has been a help defender a more outside than inside defender and you have this mixed with a Greece team without offensive talent and without outside shooting and worst without the indentity that Greece always had

It's still crazy how Argentina, Greece and Spain were able to produce a bunch of very good players at the same time.

Giannis is a huge anomaly cause of the physical gifts. Sloukas is probably the only one that fits that "classic" Greek mold in terms of play style. But I don't know if he's even as good as Zisis was.

Giannis was probably the best player of the tournament. Which only emphasizes how poor overall was the talent level of the rest of the team.

Germany and Slovenia are the favorites now.
Germany has the best team, Slovenia has Doncic and Dragic.
Schroder and Wagner are big players too.
Schroder and Dragic are underestimated in NBA. They are big players.

Greece thought that we were the favorites without winning a big opponent in the last years.
Wins against Ukraine should not be considered signs of a big team.
Spanoulis and Diamantidis won against Lebron, Wade, Carmelo and Howard and we were humble.
This team has done nothing but we somehow think that we are favorites.

And still missing Kleber, Mo Wagner and Hartenstein lol. Though the current players have shown more grit though.

Still props to Dirk for telling German youth basketball that it sucked. That's when things changed.
