Can they even change the poll options midway through the thread? If they can I agree Booker should be there and same goes for Harden. Probably put them in instead of Paul George and one of KD or Embiid.

relax guys, Booker will never win an MVP
he's just not in that tier

Paul was better last season, Booker wasn't even the Suns best player

just because Booker is shooting 48% from 3 (career 35%) and 53% from 2 (careerr 45.7%) over a 4 game stretch does not mean he needs to be in this discussion

unless you think he's gonna go the whole season shooting 48/53

if he does, he will def be in the conversation haha and probably win
but get real, ok?

just because he has gotten 4 votes doesn't mean he should have gotten them
If anything, with how much better the Suns record was from the other realistic candidates (Jokic, Giannis, Embiid etc.) - he should have won, but everyone knew he wasn't really an MVP caliber player, so they threw him and the Suns a bone with a couple of 5th place votes

like i said - PHX is 3-1 and Booker is shooting 53/48 then yeah, he is def having a better start to this season than most in the poll
but if we know, don't "think" but know that he isn't gonna be shooting anywhere near 53/48 thougout a season..no reason to put him in the conversation

Calm down mate  I don’t think I can change it so once this topic reaches a part 2 after 100 pages & if Booker is still playing like an MVP candidate I’ll remove one of the players & add him instead.

Bookers off to a hot start but he needs to sustain it for an long time. For him to win MVP hes also going to have to be an MIP candidate because he'd be one of the worst players in the history of the sport to win the award based on what we've seen historically from him. This aint the NFL where a Matt Ryan or Steve McNair or Lamar Jackson can win an MVP. The 10th-15th best players in the sport don't win the MVP.

The last darkhorse candidates were Nash and Curry, and both had new coaches with revolutionary ideas that changed the sport. Booker is in the same system.

A far, far, really far 4th. Giannis was closer to actually winning MVP (280 points behind Jokic) than Booker was to Giannis (379 points between them).

I'll happily eat **** if I'm wrong, but I can't ever see Booker winning an MVP or even coming particularly close to it.

There was a gigantic gulf between the top 3 MVP candidates last year and everyone else...and honestly, Luka and Tatum were more deserving than Booker even last year.

He's off to an unbelievable start, but MVP with the competition at the top of the league right now just isn't going to happen.

Bucks have finally played their third game. So Giannis through three games now.

34 minutes, 36/13/5.3 with 2 blocks and 0.7 steals and a 3-0 record.

By Comparison to the player of the week Tatum (4 games):

37 minutes, 32.5/8.3/3.5 with 1.3 blocks and 0.8 steals and a 3-1 record.

People can lament all about Jokic defensive decencies but the fact this man is so far ahead of the league as a overall best offensive player in the NBA it’s not funny and on pace to maybe be top 3 or 5 at worst.

As much as we hate predictably it will ultimately come down to him or Giannis for MVP

I got it Giannis (best player so far), Dame, Tatum fighting for 1st place so far-

Second tier so ja,Booker, Curry, Luka, Jokic (still best player on earth)

3rd tier dark horses - KD, BI. Zion, PG….

LVP is currently Westbrook but Simmons is working hard for that title !
