Their best guards retired and there is no replacement for them - Olímpio Cipriano, Morais, Almeida off the top of my head.

Tho Fernandes with a SICK slam on the fast break.\

I wonder how strict Angola is on giving out passports, throw in a US guard in there and they will cook.

Thanks. Can't believe we actually have "size advantage" in that point guard spot, i don't think we can say that ever in our international basketball history. LOL

Phillipines with the **** midget ball.  Freak show out there.

They have like 3 guys who are good sized for basketball as regular 'bigs', and a bunch of 6'0-6'3 midgets who play even the 4 spot because they don't have other dudes. And Clarkson who's only half filipino at 6'5.

The discrepancy is off the charts. I mean, you couldn't find a bunch of 6'8-6'9 dudes out there?

I expected far better home court advantage for phillipines. Very little chants, no instruments, you only hear them then team scores and most of it is squeeing. They squee during jumpshots, it's local vuvuzela haha. Not a very good atmosphere.

We have but they don’t have the skills. LOL

Much deserved win by Angola, they came prepared especially their pressure defense against our guards. We were just not running anything out there.

This Worlds has exposed all Asian teams again (Australia is on another level, an exception) and confirms that this is worst continent in basketball. The Philippines is perhaps the worst of the bunch even with Clarkson.

Spoke too soon and just checked Japan-Finland’s score and they are way ahead. LOL. This is doubly embarrassing for my country my goodness.

Ok. Dairis makes a stupid foul, Latvia is in foul trouble and that is the moment that France decides to force 3 points shots ... And surprise, Latvia is coming back!

Wooosh Fournier just got absolutely undressed by a behind the back cross over and drive.

France still ahead but it's closer than I expected...

Wow, the move by Žagars in Latvian game was really nice - and even with a layup over Gobert. Latvia is not falling back and still within striking distance - everything can happen in 2nd half.

Also, is the Japan win over Finland surprising? I thought the latter would put up a bigger fight.
