Re: More exciting young phenom Alcaraz, Bellingham or Wembanyama
What I will say is that after going through the Messi/Ronaldo and Djok/Fed/Nadal eras in those two sports that I think we almost take for granted that the next big name will be up there with them when that's not just some kind of given in the least. It's similar to when Spieth and McIlroy started winning majors in their early 20's and they were being pumped up as guys who could some day win 15+ but they've barely won anything in the last 6-7 years because staying on top of any sport for 10+ years is insanely hard. As good as Alcaraz is its still going to take a lot going right now him to get to 15 slams much less 20+. Not likely that anyone in soccer/football coming up now ends up in the Messi/Ronadlo/Pele/Maradona tier either. The one thing that Wemby has are innate gifts which pretty much no other player has had except for Wilt/Kareem in terms of potential impact on offense and defense.

Bellingham gets elevated because he's also very handsome/likeable (still an extremely talented young player).

Is he definitely even better than Saka. Haven’t seen much of him tbh

Nah, Victor is something that never happened before, Yamal is ridiculous for his age, but thats it. Its still Victor.
This kid is only 16 and is the best player (supposedly) out there...
Bro Yamal is still 16 years old , and on Sunday most likely he will be MVP on a championship team in EuroCup ,…….all this while he is legally 5 years away before he can gamble or have a beer
If Anything Yamal is something that never happened before , Webmy got a lot to prove , he might be the goat , but for now is Alcaraz and Yamal ( both proven winners at the very young age )

Alcaraz is going for at least 30 major wins. He already plays at a goat level in a weak era of men’s tennis. 30-40 majors is certainly not out of the question

at his age he already has had some trouble with health wich has made him miss 1 or 2 more gs.
he is not going to be playing slam winning tennis at 30 years old.

I wasn't aware of anyone saying that Sinner is better than Alcaraz? Even after the Australian Open, I don't recall anyone saying that. Sinner's good though.

That’s debatable. Nadal who had a similar grinding style was still winning slams at age 35-36 despite struggling with injuries for a good part of his career. Increases in modern medicine also likely leads to an extended career

He's on the wrong side of his teens already smh
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

Yamal is an amazing talent and his poise at such a young age is extremely rare and honestly unprecedented. with that said, i don't get "generational" vibes from him, i don't think he'll peak that high and def won't peak at a goat-ish tier, just another world class player in his prime imo

Assisted, but wasted few chances, one brilliant one. I know just getting there is a skill, but man that chance were he just shot in the middle of goal was there on a gold platter for him. If Spain lost, we would have remembered that moment and criticism would be there. Best team won at the end, Vamos! But people already jumping shark a bit saying he vould have been MVP. Williams, Olmo and of course Rodri were still there, Yamal was just super super exciting, he was one their best guys at such a young age. But in Football it happens, and Yamal is youngest now, but its not gimmie he will be better than Mussiala or other guys of that statue and and age.
Of course you can say nothing is a gimmie for Wemby either, hes still a guy who takes stupid jump shots, cant guard post etc. But he is very safe bet to be best in few years, and one of the best to ever play.

I'll take Musiala, Wirtz, Nico Williams, or Yamal over Bellingham. Musiala was better than Jude last year, and Wirtz was better this year.
