Why would you be trying to trade Mathurin?

Why? Pacers picks are all late firsts, we own a couple extra and they're late 1sts most likely.

Late 1sts rarely translate to anything in reality. If a team offered me to 20+ first round picks for Mathurin I'm saying no without hesitation, and I'm one of the Pacers fans who isn't as high on him.

OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam were both drafted in the late 20s.

Doesn't change the fact that finding a guy like that is 5%. Go back decades, and go through the picks in the 20's. If you don't follow college basketball you won't even hardly know some of them. There was a study I saw years ago that showed past 15th pick you had like a 5% chance at a guy who will make an All Star game. That means the average team will find one of those guys every 20 years or something. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was in that range.

Sounds like you are just maong up percentages to be honest.

Neither do the Pacers.

When PG was in the process of being traded, no one saw OKC coming.

Also, no one was talking about Domas/Haliburton either.

Some teams never learn

Two years from now they will be in the same boat when Hali ask to be traded

What do you mean by some teams never learn? Seriously what are you talking about? You're talking out the wrong orifice dude.

We've not drafted that great, but we've been really good on trades for decades.

I don't know why you don't go for Lauri if you are trading for a star.

If I am the Raptors GM and you guys want my Siakam, all I want is Walker and Mathurin plus a 2nd round pick. Thats more than fair since they can keep all your 1st rounders.

Yeah..

IND24FRP and OKC24FRP are like going to be around pick 20 and 27 in what's called a poor draft year.

That 3rd pick needs to be juicy otherwise this is solid for Pacers.

Holy crap that's moronic. Give up 2 lottery pick players that they are super high on. Instead of late 1st round picks. Lunacy

Anyway, Mathurin and Walker have aready been said by Pacers to be untouchable in any Pascal trade scenario.

Idk. Players are playing at a high level at 35 more and more. He could sign a 4 year deal, I wouldn't go beyond that. I think he and Hally would be a good fit.

Toronto is a small market team, so maybe Indy is hoping that isn't a big deal and could offer him the max to stay.

3 FRP sounds good in theory, but the Raptors has such a poor history of drafting, almost every pick except Barnes turn out to be bust.

3 cost controlled players even if they only turn out to be rotational players is a lot for a player that the raptors weren't going to re-sign. It also speeds up the pacers championship window while depleting their assets.

Yeah it's better for Raptors to take as much as they can for Siakam. Agreed.

My point was it's still not much for Pacers to give up (who can try contend this season)

Lol you haven’t watched a second of Mathurin or the Pacers this year outside of IST I’m sure. Mathurins efficiency has improved since his rookie year he’s sitting around 48% from the field and 38% from 3 and he gets to the line a lot. So there’s no actual data to support what you’re saying. He’s also been super coachable, didn’t complain about coming off the bench and Ricks been on him to improve the little things, he’s made strides in his passing. Just an ignorant ass take all around.

It's so sad hearing that when this team drafted OG/Siakam/Powell/Fred /Wright with late 1sts/2nds/undrafted signings but you're right, Masai has fallen off in a lot of ways since the championship.
