He needs to prove that he can be a starter on a winning NCAA team. But this is really about LeBron

I’m old enough to remember when Jordan’s son was trying to get into the league.

Nepo babies don’t work in the NBA. Sometimes good players have GOAT sons, and sometimes GOAT players have mediocre players as sons. Not trying to be mean, just the truth tho. NBA talent is kind of a crapshoot.

They going to be politically correct to avoid upsetting LeBron/Klutch?

Or will they straight up say “you’re not an NBA player.”

Most teams don't really give any direct feedback to players. There are many players who thought they had a terrible workout with a team and were still drafted by that team. Teams usually keep quiet about their scouting reports, it a non issue. Plus Lebron is on the way out anyways. The only team that has any pressure related to this might be the lakers, who might just sign him if he goes undrafted.

They absolutely give feedback to some.

If they like them, they wouldn’t, as they don’t wanna potentially tip their hand to anyone about who they like, but there is a reason you see a ton of prospects withdraw from the draft process and go back to school when they realize teams aren’t going to take them.

Never seen a second of him play. I’ve also never heard of a player taking 54% of his shots from three at a clip of 27%. Hopefully I never will again.

Spurs draft Bronny - at #47 - ironically from Lakers.

Spurs and Pops free agent sign James for little more than MLE. James as part of the deal plays GM, makes Spurs trade all Hawks picks+ for Trae Young. James needs his Irving 2.0. Then GM James trades more picks and youth for Towns. James needs his Kevin Love 2.0.

Wemby
Towns
James
Johnson
Trae

Pops and James (with Bronny) ring chase with Wemby.

It definitely happens, the Warriors have 2 of them right now. Both Curry and Thompson had fathers I would consider to be more than mediocre/good players.

This will probably one day be known as the first major horrible decision that doomed his career from the start.

He'll be a second rounder or undrafted free agent. I think he's specifically going to say he only wants to play for the Lakers and most teams will gladly oblige that demand. LeBron will live his bizarre dream of playing with his son for a season or two and then hang it up.

Because if it doesnt go well that's doing damage to his legacy before he ever even steps on to an NBA court. Just do the extra year in college and be ready. Don't set yourself up for failure before you even started.

I remember both the OG Curry and Thompson, Blazers drafted the latter. They were fine players, but relatively unremarkable in terms of their impact on the game as compared to their sons.

No disrespect but yeah… they were just good to pretty good? They didn’t dominate like Steph and Klay did for years.

Thanasis is closer to LeBron than Bronny to Thanasis.

If he doesn't withdraw, he's an idiot. Playing against NBA talent this early would essentially kill his chance at growth and doom him to a life of an embarrassing journeyman scrub nepo butt image . It ain't like he needs the money. Just enjoy your college years, earn a degree, make something of your own first. The NBA ain't going anywhere and you will get your chance. **** what your dad wants.

I never understood the earn a degree thing. Bronny already has his own net worth of over a million dollars. He's never going to work a 9-5, the degree is pointless to a guy like him.

Kinda, maybe, but maybe not.
Look, I agree he doesn't need a degree, assuming LeBron is sharing the wealth with his kids to ANY degree.
But perhaps Bronny wants to take over part of the business, or similar. Getting some level of education in business isn't a bad idea. Not that he needs the degree itself, but...

Similarly, his game ain't NBA ready (to put it mildly, imho). Go back to college (or pro somewhere other than the NBA, perhaps...) and work on that.

He doesn't even need LeBron's money. He already has his own million and that is only going to increase with the endorsements he's signed.
