LeBron is not leaving a 25 year old Luka.

I wouldn't rule that out. I think fit between Lebron and Luka will be quite awful. Both of these guy need the ball on their hands to be at their best and that could a lot of issues. Also the Warriors will a lot better than the Lakers if they get Kevin Durant, which could push Lebron even further towards taking a huge pay to join the Warriors.

For the Spurs absolutely not. They should wait it out and see what Luka Doncic will do in the 2026 off season. Committing long term to a 36 year KD,while having to give up major draft capital/young in order to do may not be smartest thing to do when they can simply get Luka Doncic for free in the 2026 off season. Now for the Grizzles who are much closer to be Championship contenders this season, maybe that would make sense for them. However I think the Rockets or the Heat would be best fit.

I like this for a completely different reason. Denver goes all in with Durant in 25 & 26. This then clears salary and positions Denver to make a FA play at Doncic for 27.

KD is likely to be moved since Beal cannot be moved.
Jimmy will be moved.
GS is desperate for a star.
Ingram is to be moved.
Randle should be moved.
Lakers looking for a center.

this could be one of craziest trade deadlines yet.

So is swapping KD for Butler really a good move for Phoenix?

I assume the basis for the deal would be Butler to PHX, KD to GSW, Wiggins & Dray to MIA. Then you have to assume that Miami probably is not interested in Dray and maybe not Wiggins either. So then you gotta find a 4th/5th team to take them and give Miami back something they may want. It gets pretty complicated

Denver's GM needs to get on the phone immediately, maybe even do a 3-team with Miami if Phoenix truly wants Butler.

Culturally Butler is as far from what we're building as can be.

KD is a great fit for now if not long term but too costly. $51M is a LOT of matching salary. Would have to be multi team. Would cost lots of draft capital.

Heard a rumour we made an offer for Cam Johnson.
Cam would be a nice fit.
I look forward to seeing how good for you.
Cheers to tonight

Would have been a nice homecoming for Durant since he's from the DC area, but not with Kuzma as the centerpiece. Picks don't matter that much unless they're high and unprotected. Seeing they're trying to rebuild, I'm guessing they'd have some protections. Besides, it would probably take more than that player wise.

Would be the ultimate bitch move for KD to go crawling back to Steph after winning nothing in his last 2 stops.

It obviously makes sense for the Warriors.

Suns I get it if they can get enough assets back with Butler.

Maybe this is true but sometimes the owner or GM are liar...This is still possible KD is traded if the suns have a offer they can't refuse but of course this is unlikely right now

Nothing may happen with KD, but ScoopB is not a reliable source. That guy throws a lot of stuff at the wall.

It works with
DEN: KD
MIA: Porter and Nnaji
PHO: Butler and Pickett
