2025 NBA FINALS: #1 Oklahoma City Thunder vs #4 Indiana Pacers (Series tied 3-3!)

Man, the Pacer really blew their chances of a championship in game 4 when they were up by 12-13 points midway through the 3rd QTR when they completely let off the gas and the momentum shift carried the Thunder all the way to the end of the game. Should've been 3-1 Pacers, which would have the Thunder winning 3 in a row a monumental task.

The excitement for the rest of the game had fizzled for me a little bit especially after learning of Haliburton injury, but we could still hope the Pacers could still make things interesting...win or lose.

In my mind Pacers have already won. I never thought they could take more than a game from OKC.

True. Before the series started I was thinking the Thunder win in 6 with around a 7-8 point differential average. As it stands before Game 6 it’s only 5 points.

The (healthy) Cavs are the only other team I could see from the East pushing OKC to 6 without multiple blowouts.

Indy has been such a joy to watch most of the season. A respectable 6 game bow out versus this defense from hell is terribly impressive given what they should be on paper. A improbable win tonight and they’ll be playing with the most house money in a Finals Game 7 ever.

Now, that's just revisionist BS. Before the series, people were complaining about how lopsided the Finals would be because OKC was so much better than us. People had OKC winning in a sweep, 5 at most.

But we made it a series exactly because this team ain't soft.

I had it a 50 50 series before game one ....pacers got dogs and grit but when you can't rebound and can't get north and south vs physical defense that's called soft. Hali has a soft step back and prance play style.

You don't have to love the guy's prancing. But he isn't mentally soft. He's shown up in the biggest moments more often than not.

Yeh, when a guy hits something like 12 out of 14 game winning or game tying shots over this season and playoffs, dude is not soft.

The whole team is not soft, that's silty. Anyone that has seen any amount of Pacer games, that's not something that should pop up in your mind. Gritty and resilient comes to mind. Our C and PF are not big tough, rough guys, they are both finesse players. They are not soft they both play very hard, just not great rebounders.

If the Pacers are soft, the whole league must be soft, OKC has ran through all of them. Lost just ONE game to the entire East ALL season. The Pacers have beat them twice in the finals. OKC have been historically good, the league has not been historically bad. In fact, just the opposite.

Cheapest tickets for game 7 are almost $1200 a piece would be something special to see these guys win it in person.

Yeah I feel like if Indy was going to win it they had to win game 4, and probably wouldve finished it off at home in 6. I just don't see anyone beating OKC on the road in a loser goes home scenario. Who knows though, they've proven to be a worthy opponent.

There are reports from CBS and Yahoo from five hours ago that say Hali is "expected" to play and that he "has every intention" of playing. I'd be surprised if he doesn't go.

Pacers would be kinda crazy to play Halliburton, right? I’d maybe roll the dice in a game 7 but they can’t really mess around with a potential Achilles tear.

It will all depend on what the MRI shows. Hali has pushed to play through injuries in the past.

MRI can’t show potential Achilles tear , it can happen or not , at this point it’s Rolling the dice pretty much and risking a terrible injury

Saying this I would check first 5 minutes , ask , see how he feels , if he feels pain or perform like in game 5 , just roll with the TJ ( he was much better than injured Hali in game 5 )
