I am praying so hard that you are right about the outcome. :meditate:
I REALLY like the Pacers to win but my brain kept telling me OKC is so strong in front of their crowd.
I have a bad feeling that Chet would have a huge game and Carlisle better find that hot hand to match it. Turner has been struggling from the 3, same with Mathurin the past couple of games.. Sheppard?

Rooting for the underdog here, hope Pacers win it. Props to both teams so far, it was a gritty and fun finals matchup that has went all the way down the wire. Let’s see who wants it more and has more left in the tank to cross the line first.
Hopefully there will be no mention of the referees in the end.
Would love to see TJ McConnel get the ring, dude is the epitomy of hustle and going all out every time he sets foot on the court. Plus, he would get the ring before the likes of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and the rest from the bunch od players that Hinkie drafted in Philadelphia ages ago.

My understanding is that more people go out on Saturday while more people stay at home watching TV on Sunday. You can rely on the network knowing which night maximises their ad revenue.

They shud cater to the world… they call it “world championship” and lot of us dont live outside the US. I could enjoy the game if it was Saturday. Sigh
There is a reason HBO puts their marquee show on sunday nights. A lot more people watch TV on sunday vs Saturday.

Can the OKC coach keep his job if his team fails to beat the underdog Pacers for the Championship game?
What would be the exception?
What if he had a great game plan, his team controls the game and his players fail to hit key FTs in the final 5 mins and/or his players commit dumb dumb turnovers and Pacers came out of nowhere and nail critical 3's?

TJ represent some of us who are not tall and athletic and gives hope to young kids that they still have a chance to play in the big league even if they are not that tall and doesn't have a 40 inch vertical leap.
I especially hate those young players who leap for a slam dunk and thump their chest and try to flex every time they do it as if it's the most important aspect of the game. :banghead:

I understand Kerr kept his job even after losing to the underdog Cavs but he has already proven his abilities by winning the year before.
Phil Jackson left...or his contract not renewed after losing to the underdog Pistons in 2005.
Rick Carlisle with 2 back to back 50 wins was replaced by Larry Brown in Detroit.
Flip Saunders also led the Pistons to 59 RS wins and was relieved after losing in the ECF.

OKC with the salon blowout. I think they tried to win the first half, but then started feeling like it would be better to win at home in the second half and gave in, in game 6. I think game 7 will be over by the 3rd quarter.

You feel how you feel… most people on the books thought this series would be over by now.

I don’t know why it’s hard for people to understand. More people go out and do things by themselves or with their families on Friday and Saturday nights in America because they don’t have to work on the weekend. Conversely, Sunday night is TV time to decompress before going to sleep for another work week.

And I understand that we’re talking game 7 in the Finals specifically, but for example Pascal has 92 career playoff games including the Finals, it’s not like he’s a rookie or something.

Dang you are right. Just realized that lol.
The Pacers and Thunder are a young team.
The players with NBA Finals experience are Siakim (2019) and Caruso (2020) both are 31 yrs old. Which isn't very old.

The last NBA Finals game 7 was almost a decade ago, 2016. The old dudes like Kevin Love, KD, LeBron, Draymond, Al Horford , Klay Thompson, Steph Curry , CP3, Harden, Westbrook, Jimmy Butler, Paul George, etc aren't in this yrs NBA Finals.
OKC and Indiana are some of the youngest teams in the league.

I AM SO GOD DAMN NERVOUS-Holy

Please OKC, win this-I've waited 14 years for this.

I think Indiana will win, in all honesty. They seem as if this is preordained and play like they're possessed.

I hope we’ll see a physical game 7 where ticky tack fouls aren’t called, both teams have to really dig deep to score which makes every basket and every scoring run important.

14 years? I've waited since we were champions in the ABA.

Props. OKC only started contending around 2011...........I can't imagine yearning for a tile for over 5 decades.
