Not having to watch Westbrook anymore is a win itself. If all Denver did this off-season was replace him with Bruce Brown, us fans would be satisfied.

Jokic and Murray running out of gas in game 4 & 5 of the OKC series is the main reason they blew the lead in the 4th and ultimately lose the series due to injury to Gordon and also MPJ, now they just added a true center to secure at least 15 minutes of rest time for Jokic. I still think they need a backup point guard otherwise Pickett is their only answer behind Murray.

Not sure what the Kings are doing here. Jonas was good for them, it was a god sent and they just gave him away. Saric is done, he can barely move. Wouldn't surprise me if he got waived.

I think Brown could play the role of backup just fine. He did a few years ago. Denver doesn't need that "traditional" point guard with the offense they run. I wonder if they could entice Dinwiddie to return to his college home for cheap. Or maybe Seth Curry. Doesn't have to do anything but knock down a couple threes per game.

A bench of Valanciunas, Dinwiddie, Brown, Strawther, Holmes. That'll do, my friends. That'll do.

Thats a pretty bad bench still IMO. Who is best player here, Brown?

Holy ****! I think we’ve got some early frontrunners for executive of the year! Every single problem the Nuggets had was fixed! This team’s gonna be so **** good next year! Honestly think they might just kick OKC’s ass and roll to a chip.

It’s light years better than any bench they’ve had in the Jokic era. Best starting lineup too.

I mean, there's no Sixth Man of the year out of that group but it can't be overstated how much better it would be than what they had last year.

Saric, Jordan, Nnaji, Pickett, Tyson, Cancar - Those guys honestly shouldn't even be on an NBA roster, and that's almost half the team.

It’s underwhelming but they still have the ability to get another decent player, probably a shooter or POA defender. Still, it will easily be the best bench they’ve had since the bubble.

What a difference not having Calvin Booth around makes.

It feels so weird doesn't it. I was 100% ready that they'll run it back again. 0 picks this year, no cap space. And in 24hrs or so we've essentially replaced MPJ with a player that hopefully will be better playing next to Jok (jury still out on that obv), saved enough to get the full MLE in the process, signed BB for a 1yr min, flipped Saric and his player option for JV AND there's still $5.2M left. Is this really real

100% this. And rotations btw. The bench doesn't just come in for all five starters. Murray had the early rest in the first and third last year and Jok played the full 12mins in both quoters. Then Murray came in end of first and third. Seemed to work with Russ coming in for him, I don't see why BB can't fill that role. It's what he played during the title run really.

Murray and BB can play same time and then you've got Cam/Braun/PWat/Strawther rotating the 2/3 and probably some time the 4 position. Hope Zeke and Holmes are gonna be rotation pieces though. And with JV now we're cooking. Need another shooting 2/3 off the bench and it's all I could wish for.

Jonas is not what I would describe as a meaningful player. He's ok.

He is a passable player for regular season and that will be his biggest value is allowing Jokic to get more regular season rest. DeAndre is a loved guy but no longer an NBA player so this is definitely an upgrade, but this move doesn't move the needle or anything.

Denver are definitely contenders, they actually have a backup C.

One good Murray trade away from being the favorites.

I think after we took the eventual champs to 7 games with a short and injured roster the needle doesn't need to move more than a millimeter. JV/BB and I'm excited to see who they use the remaining MLE on are all together more that enough to make DEN a proper contender out West

These are great moves by Denver. Hopefully they can stay healthy, as they absolutely have a title-worthy team on paper now.

I saw my friend post JV to the Nuggets on a group chat that I'm on without any links. I thought to myself because I didn't get an alert that it couldnt be Valanciunas.

When I verified this was true, I was shocked and I'm still in shock.

Denver is in second place as the favorites behind OKC to win it all and all they need to do is keep Murray and Jokic healthy and fresh and I think they will pull it off.
