Brand is like an inch taller and has a 7'5" wingspan :o

Wingspan won't help you dunk. You need to look at standing reach.

I have a few reasons to believe that he made that dunk (or at least CAN make that dunk, even if he didn't do it in that video)...firstly, I don't think he's dumb enough to overhype himself and not live up to it, he's got another half of the season left after the All-Star break and I doubt moon wants to lose that Cinderella Story love he's been getting since he entered the league.

Secondly, he even SAID he's done it in an interview. Would he really lie like that?

NBA.com: In your practice video you dunked from well beyond the free throw line. What is the furthest you ever dunked from?
Jamario Moon: That is about it. I don’t think too many people can come from too far beyond the free throw line.

Lastly, I think he made/can make that dunk...because I'm a raptor fan. 8)

He made it, the reason they aimed it down low just to show his feet so it can leave people wondering if he made it or not. Hes gonna do it in the dunk contest. Once he does it dude will have the best dunk in nba dunk contest history.

I don't understand why Moon would fake a dunk.
All this video does is generate hype for an amazing dunk to
come. Why would he get everyone excited with this crazy
dunk and then not pull through in the competition. It would
seem to be the other way around, showing a video of nto so
impressive dunks than blowing away our minds in the competition.
I just don't understnad why he would fake an amazing dunk
and let the whole audience down, doesn't make sense to me.

Quoted for truth. (And I don't even like younggunz  )

That video is NOT. REAL.
He did NOT. DUNK. THE. BALL.

Could he dunk it from that distance? Maybe.
I'd love to see him try, could be the greatest dunk ever if he makes it.

But the dunk in this video is FAKE. F-A-K-E.
Really, I'm shocked at how gullible people are.

Whoever says that this video is clearly real or fake has an agenda, too:

Here's my agenda: Reminding people of what is obviously real and what is obviously fake. To further the point, does saying the above video is fake mean that I'm saying LeBron James can't hit an 80 footer if he tried? No, of course it doesn't mean that.

I can't wait for the dunk contest.
I hope he tries it, and succeeds.

You know it wouldn't totally surprise me if he could dunk from behind the FT. I've always felt that if you had every player in the league jump from as far back as possible during their primes Shawn Marion would be able to jump the farthest and Moon's got a Marion body type.

Also everone knows that gravity has 1/6th of its effect on the Moon.

He is trying to get more people to watch the dunk contest, which has received terrible ratings for quite some time, it really doesn't matter if he can or can't complete the dunk, although I hope he can!

Best dunk of all time if he pulls that one off, but the video was a fake.

What do you think makes a player have a high standing reach? I hate the term "wingspan", so let's say his "armspan".

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Wingspan and height are THE determinants of standing reach.

Unless of course you've got shoulders that are parallel with you forehead, and then you've got more to worry about than dunking. :P

lol, look at the ease with which he pulled those off. It was pretty craster-esque

Besides, those dunks that were shown aren't his dunk contest dunks. He said he won't let anyone in on those.

Thirdly...he has already said that he completed that third dunk. See NBA.com interview. I wouldn't say he would lie about that because people wouldn't take kindly to it. It would be an automatic loss for him.

lol.........you really think he is going to use the first 2 dunks in the dunk contest at any time? I doubt he is stupid enough to do dunks that he is going to use in the dunk competition in that video with the exception of the last one.

The first 2 were just warm ups buddy.....

EDIT: Yea, what ICEMANRC above me said...didn't read last page. lol

I'm not familiar with your posts Trixx, but I can see by your sig that you are a Lakers fan, correct?..

I'm gong to assume that you don't have any personal feelings towards Moon as a fan, or am I wrong?..

because if I'm correct, he has done his job..with the hype video, he's getting the fans behind him..putting it out so early just gives an opportunity for more fans to view this before the dunk contest, and get behind him for it..he's going to have the crowd support..

and that's all this is..he has everyone talking..everyone is going to be cheering and anticipating for him to make this unbelievable dunk..

Yup, Im a Laker fan.

Only feelings I have towards Moon are wanting him to play his best night in and night out because he's on my fantasy team.

BS video. How convenient that it points down for such an improbable dunk. It has viral marketing written all over it to me. I also think the rim may not be 10' high either lol

I think this might be the best dunk contest since the one with Vince Carter.
