What the hell happened??

lol. Hopefully not a teaser like the last game (Ill/UConn).

A couple of 3s from freshman Stevenson brought them back.

Oats is a good coach. His guys are still tight - they're missing bunnies at the rim. Coaching can do only so much. I'd also watch for Pringle and his foot injury as the game wears on. Clemson will go back to dominate inside especially if Pringle can't play well. Nelson is way too skinny and easily pushed around as you've seen in the game by Clemson's more physical bigs. The other PF Stevenson is a skinny kid who reclassed to 2023 so you're talking about a HS senior playing in this game. Too much to ask him to defend against 22 year old senior PFs.

Purdue (and only because of Edey). No one else has the personnel to do it.

I know Clemson's down in score but they are not doing that bad. Clemson is effective in slowing the pace of the game so that's going for them. They are still dominating on the inside, and as the game wears on, Pringle's foot is going to hurt more and they're going to be even more dominant there. Bama got the lead because they got scoring from an unexpected source - Stevenson. If you're Clemson you'd let Stevenson (29% from 3) shoot the 3 all game.

Yeah Edey will be a problem for UConn but Purdue's guards are too small vs UConn's perimeter players. They may win the inside matchup but not the other 4 matchups. On paper nobody can. Only UConn can beat themselves.

It's really more if Edey can get Clingan in foul trouble. Samson Johnson is a good backup, but Edey lives at the foul line (sometimes egregiously). UConn has much better talent, but check Purdue's free throw percentage. It's Laker-esque. If that doesn't happen, then yes, UConn will roll over them too.

If yes, and that's probably the gameplan for Purdue but UConn's length on the perimeter means they can give quick double teams or quick hands when Edey makes his post up moves to disrupt it so they got counters to that too. That makes them tough.

PJ Hall dominated Bama during the season. And he's doing it again.

Oops Hall gets his 4th. Clemson's still more physical inside even without Hall.

Wow, congrats to Bama. If they hold on.
1st Final Four appearance ever.

Would be the same for Clemson if they rally.
